Xie Wei literally has me in a chokehold (although I wish physically as well 😶) his portrayal was soso good

Hahah honestly so many of them were unnecessary and quite comedic, they would be having a serious convo and then sudden cut to a spotlight shot thta would make me laugh 😂 and don't get me started on the sound effects lmao

What a perfect review that put everything I felt into words!!! Wholeheartedly agree with everything, Zhang Zhe's arc was done poorly that i actually found it a bit annoying and boring to watch, 2ML syndrome def was not a problem here for me. The directing and editorial choices are definitely an acquired taste lol but actually some bright light shots were actually quite beautiful and despite this it didn't take away my enjoyment for this drama. The yearning between Xie Wei and JXN was definitely there throughout the drama, and ZLH portrayal of Xie Wei was very enjoyable and impressive and also had me weak 😭😭😭. I won't be getting over JXN + Xie Wei anytime soon. There are negatives, but many more positives to outweigh them for this drama and is one of my top dramas this year, with probably the highest rewatch value.

The Princess falling in love at first sight with xuening dressed as a boy, and then still kinda falling in love with her after seeing her in normal attire in the 2nd life is so real 😂 bailu's beauty is really something else, even dressed simply as a boy here, or in AMA where I saw her for the very first time, her visuals still blow me away

I'm pretty happy with everyone's delivery of lines and character portrayals

Yess definitely, I wish the colour palette was more pleasing and coherent like one and only for example, but like as u said, they really made the most out of their budget, and the makeup imo is much nicer than TTEOTM haha

I am actually super unsure of whether it's bailu's real voice or not 😭😭 can someone confirm? Some lines I'm like yep def bailu but others I'm like hUH kinds doesn't sound like bailu lmaooo

I also feel like the outside lighting scenes look kinda cheap, the lighting is super harsh and not immersive at all, however the cinematography is really top notch

Yes I was also surprised by the cinematography choices, I'm not used to these creative choices in other cdramas I have watched, I am pleasantly impressed, super high quality and beautiful

The chemistry is there from the beginning of first ep when they first appeared together on screen and I literally cannot wait for more eps 😭😭😭

Omg this was such a surprise my heart was literally about to jump out of my chest, the first ep is very promising !! Stunning cinematography, gorgeous costumes, shocked by ZLH's makeup at the beginning LOL I'm already kinda obsessed seems like the wait was 101% worth it. Feels like a dream we waited for so long 😭
