But I really hate these kinds of endings—why can't the heroes just stay in the fantasy world? Almost always…
It also annoyed me a lot that FL doesn't grow – during her 18 years in the demon world she learned martial arts, yet when she was about to save the young emperor during a bandit attack in the human world, she did it with magic because she "doesn't know martial arts."
She spends 19 years as the queen of demons and immortals, and yet when she returns to her own world, she immediately reverts to that submissive woman who almost apologizes for being alive. I would have expected, at the very least, that after all this experiences, she'd be able to stand up to her mean boss.
I really enjoyed this (although I didn't think that any character's backstory might be more tragic and heartbreaking…
But I really hate these kinds of endings—why can't the heroes just stay in the fantasy world? Almost always one dies, returns to their own world, where a second character magically appears, either with or without their shared memories, and poof, it's over. And the whole thing lasts two or three minutes, gives no answers or touching scenes (because everything ends before anything can happen), and invariably leaves me annoyed and sad. So many time and emotions put into watching and so unsatisfying ending.
I really enjoyed this (although I didn't think that any character's backstory might be more tragic and heartbreaking than Tantai Jin's from "Till the end of the moon" but then here came drinking blood and literally eating bodies of ML's family - yup, that definitely took the cake).
And I was wondering what the last 5 or 6 episodes would supposed to be about when everything seemed to be over, and then, poof - the action in the human world came and I regretted that it didn't last longer.
Idk about u but I do feel bad for Chu Gui Hong, his ending isn’t really what I wished for him. I kinda wished…
I don't think any amends were possible at this point. Sooner - sure, there were times when it should be possible, but they gave him plenty of chances and he was always choosing to be dead set in his ways, no matter what happened and how yet another person was trying to reason with him. Honestly I would be extremely disappointed if in the end he would be forgiven. There are things that can not be forgiven.
25 episodes in and the FL is still beyond insufferable. I could understand her plight in the beginning but I'm…
It was annoying for me too, but I can understand her - she was convinced that no matter how ML changes he's still bound to torture and kill her and her entire family at the end. It's kind of like in "Till the end of the moon" - FL can't bet the fate of the entire world/family just on the hope that the ML has changed. It's just to big of a risk.
She does not care as much in the beginning, but over time she grows fond of the script people and learns that…
I think that too. In real world she didn't really have any family or friends, so when she became close with those from the script it was logical that she couldn't let anything bad happen to them.
When in get you Gui Hong. How i hate this man. I’m litterly throwing fists at my screen. Get your dirty hands…
It's like Mr. Song told the FL at one point—you can't wake someone who's only pretending to be asleep. This guy was probably beyond saving from the very beginning—the way he immediately and without hesitation turned his back on the prince as a child shows that his character probably wasn't good at all. In my opinion, his noble demeanor was just a mask he wore for so long that he himself believed he actually was that kind of person. But when suddenly the man he hated and abandoned long ago began to show himself as a better person, Gui Hong's entire personality crumbled. It reminds me a bit of what happened to Chu Chu in "Lost Romance."
This drama was really good and funny. I love how the ML, who was supposed to be cunning and evil, is revealed to be sensitive and kind over time, while the FL actually spends most of the series being cunning and really cruel.
I was blown away by Liu Yu Ning's acting during the scene where, after receiving a terrible number of beatings for the Treacherous Moon affair, he went to the FL to beg her to forgive him. His facial expression was incredible – a bit like that of a wronged child, it was truly heartbreaking.
And the ending was great – at least until the scene with the writer and the post-credits scene. The earlier ending was perfect; if they had to go in a different direction, they could have at least give us more than two minutes of it :/
I need to hug Nun Rui like right now. This sweet boy been through enough 🤧
Fortunately he gets his own chance for love at the end. It's kind of amazing how from being ridiculous and annoying he became sweet and such likable character by the end (and I loved his weird laugh xD ).
I quite liked this drama, but I definitely preferred the version with time travel and parallel worlds to what ultimately turned out to be the secret here.
Also there were far too many hair and makeup stuff and far too little time was devoted to the Light Lab and The Lighthouse program, making the series' main plot point feel clumsy and poorly executed.
It started off really well, the drama was charming and funny, but somewhere along the way something went wrong and it became really boring. Besides, why was it even mentioned at the very beginning that someone from Tae Mu's family was responsible for his parents accident if that subject was never mentioned again (in fact, it was shown that it was actually just an accident, not some evil plot to take over the company or something)?
another thing about this drama that ticked me off: during the cooking competition plot, the Korean villains (Jesan…
And also what were they even thinking when they decided to hold a cooking competition when there was LITERALLY NOT ONE objective person to judge? Like - how they thought it would work?
took me quite some time to convince myself to watch this drama for suzy's sake, and sure oh boy i did not regret…
I was pleasantly surprised by that too! When the genie suddenly appeared before FL, I thought that would be it – another annoyingly rushed ending to an Asian drama without any explanation, but here creators really wrapped everything up nicely.
