The lead actors' performances were really good; I would have liked to see more drama in their relationship, but it turned out pretty "meh." Still, their intense scenes—OMG, the way they conveyed emotion!
Given the actual content, it could have had fewer episodes instead of 36.

It’s one of those dramas where you think: if the production value had been higher and the cast had featured the popular stars of the moment, it would have been huge. But simply because it lacked those elements, few people truly appreciate the story.
The performances were excellent, especially Zhou Yiran. I had never seen him act before, but he completely captivated me. Bao Shangen clearly shows she is an actress with great potential—it’s no wonder she’s already landing leading roles in other dramas.
Few dramas have truly moved me, and this is one of them. They managed to create scenes that resonated with you and made you feel happiness, sadness, and bittersweet emotions.
The way the story is constructed is undoubtedly incredible—specifically how the decisions of previous generations always impact the new ones, creating a cycle that is difficult to break. It can be somewhat overwhelming due to the sheer number of characters and the amount of information, yet all of it is necessary to understand the reasons behind everything—both good and bad—that is unfolding.
It may have its flaws—such as certain scenes where the special effects looked very basic—but that is understandable given the lack of a massive budget. Even so, it featured highly cinematic scenes with beautifully crafted shots, as well as real locations and stunning sets.
Without a doubt, a drama that deserved more recognition!
