As a watcher of the OG drama , I'm interested on how they will do Zi Qiu's story route, because his storyline is literally my fave, paired with Steven Zhang's acting was literally *chef's kiss* So far, it's quite average for now and will be waiting for the upcoming episodes
As someone who loves historical fantasy , the concept was there, the plot, the acting, the characters, the effects, it's all there, but I would've liked it more if the story was more broad? There's just something lacking in the story that I don't know how to explain it. Would've liked it more if everything got more depth? I don't know if I'm making sense here but I'm still looking for something in this story, something is definitely lacking.
Also, some parts also got kinda draggy that sometimes that I wanted to finish the episode quickly.
As per the fighting scenes, the fighting choreography was kinda meh but still good because of the sfx and everything, though I was expecting an epic martial arts fight with sfx. Nonetheless, still good
Hello hello ππ» Passerby here. So I finally had the time to binge-watch this drama and I'll just say, it's good, sweet, fluffy, and also angsty, and sometimes kinda unbearable (?)
First things first β’ I'm some who's very interested in the time traveling genre, whether it be novels, fanfics, manhuas, dramas, and movies. So before this even released, the synopsis automatically piqued my interest and waited for it to premiere. But before I watched this one, I watched "Shining for One Thing" which is very very similar to it (though it's more like a dimension traveling rather than time traveling for SFOT)
β’ From the early episodes, it started off very great, like they showed us that the ML has been admiring the FL from the start, there's this mysterious accident that caused the FL to lose the ability to walk, and the bold FL going her way to the ML.
β’ After going back to the future, maybe around episode 8(?), I was really glad she was going to her way to meet the ML again. However, when she went back to the past again (episode 9?) I started having mixed feelings for the FL.
β’ Ever since that part, every decisions she made felt so stupid, making her a bit unbearable for me. But at the same time, I felt really bad too, it's just that her decisions felt so stupid and even made the things worse.
β’ Around episode 9 till the ending, it kinda felt repetitive, the plot I mean. There's this murderer on the lose, still not caught yet (I really wonder why he would always go for them, why IT'S ALWAYS THEM)
β’ But, it was still quite enjoyable, they had their fluff moments, good time with friends, sweet scenes ( though it sometimes getting too cringey). I'm still glad they have a happy ending with all to the sufferings that they had experienced
β’ One thing, just one thing, I just needed a logical (or maybe even a fictional) explanation on how the ML regained all memories throughout the times where the FL leap through time, don't tell me it was the watch, where did that even came from, how did it even work like that. It's just really a plot hole that really bugs me.
But but but, overall I'd rate it 7.5/10, it's not a perfect 10 but still quite enjoyable, though I'd probably never rewatch it. The ost are all 10/10 as a music nerd.
Bonus part β’ So my friend and I had a talk, how interesting would it be if it turned out that, due to the FL's sadness of her idol dying, those time traveling things that she made are just for her to remember that the ML was actually her savior and the ML have known her from the beginning and boop, she woke up in her original timeline the ML is really dead, like nothing can change it.
Anyways, thank you for reading From a strange passerby (Sorry for wrong grammars, English is not my first language)
I'll let this drama marinate first and I'll come back when it's finished. I really hate watching dramas while ongoing cuz two eps a day ain't enough, so I'll probably binge-watch it!!!

I'm sorry if this might be offensive but it looks like a fanmade poster π HELP.
I was quite surprised to know it was actually an official poster
