They could've ended it perfectly with episode 10. SH goes back to her parents and they start over. Her biological dad gets arrested or dies. SY gets arrested (or dies, Idc) and is taken to a mental hospital where she gets better. They show SH apologizing to GH with HU next to her.
I really, really want to like SH, but she's making it so hard. I do get that not everyone is intelligent and can act well in a frightening situation, but come on—returning to the man who just threatened to kill you and/or your dad? And then being shocked about him holding you hostage again. 😭

Also, why did he bring her to this kind of place instead of a house or something (if he cared for her)? And also, the request for money. There is definitely something wrong with him.
what the hell was going on episode 18, I almost believed his words but how come he set a fire on a room with his…
Yes, he is absolutely lying. His words do not match his actions. If he actually cared only for his daughter, he would not have killed an innocent detective or tried to kill Su Yeon. There would not have been any reason to lie from the beginning. (Oh, also, please mark this as a spoiler.)
This drama might not be the best of them all, but it's also not bad. Don't trust all the bad reviews and just try it out yourself. You might enjoy it. Personally, I think it's thrilling, and I'm already excited for the next episode.
can everyone let me know their theories?? i’m so interested in what other people think!
I think that the "relative"/"police officer" (likely fake) and Soo yeon are trying to set Seon hae up against her parents. They are probably trying to take them down as revenge. The father prob accidentally wronged the fake "relative", and Soo yeon... well, we know part of her story. Their plan is to destroy their "perfect family."
I also think that the parents were wronged in the past. It might have something to do with their son's death.
So from the first two episodes, I'm guessing that the family gets rid of any evidence to either protect their stability or their daughter. He probably wasn't dead, and they or someone else did the final "hit." I don't think Su Yeon killed him. There might also be more about her past than she can remember.
If anyone is interested in the romantic elements of the story, there is indeed a romantic relationship that develops…
JBH (the new owner) later shares the body with the original owner (the queen) to some extent. This is also the source of the feelings. He eventually accepts them, perhaps even developing some of his own.
If anyone is interested in the romantic elements of the story, there is indeed a romantic relationship that develops between the main characters towards the end. However, it's more complicated than that.
I also think that the parents were wronged in the past. It might have something to do with their son's death.
