To me, on the the last part "well-dressed, socially approved, and professionally respected.". I feel like…
Yes, that’s exactly how it feels to me too. Even when something feels uncomfortable, the dynamic itself kind of silences her.
And your comparison with Queen of Tears is actually really good. It gives the same unsettling vibe of someone using status and circumstance to push themselves into someone’s life.

Exactly, and that’s also why I always find myself disagreeing when I see comments saying the FL should end up with the SML and the ML should just live happily with U-Ju. I simply can’t see it that way.

Even with all the excessive screen time the SML keeps getting, the scenes with him don’t feel natural or romantic to me. They feel forced, uncomfortable, and honestly illogical within the story. It’s like the narrative keeps pushing a dynamic that the character herself doesn’t seem emotionally aligned with.

That’s why your point resonated with me so much. Because the vibe really does come across as someone using his position and social approval to insert himself into her life. Like you said perfectly: “He’s just a stalker taking advantage of his position.” And that’s exactly why it never feels romantic to me, it feels invasive.

It honestly feels like he believes he has some kind of right over her that goes beyond just his position at work. Because they knew each other before, and whatever they used to be to each other, he behaves as if that gives him permanent access to her life. Like he can just show up and “pick her up” whenever he wants.

And what makes it even more unsettling is how he reacts whenever she shares even a small moment with Tae-Hyeong. In several scenes where she clearly exchanges looks with Tae-Hyeong, he suddenly looks like he’s losing control of something he thinks belongs to him.

That’s the part that gives me the creepy vibe.

Ok everyone… I understand all the problems people have been pointing out here (with the SML and, for some viewers, even with the FL too). But episode 10 gave me a twist that was weirdly funny and, at the same time, kind of engaging for me.

Basically… the SML is the villain. And honestly? That’s kind of hilarious.

Because in this drama we actually had a really beautiful and interesting progression with Taehyung his growth, the changes he went through, the way he learned and healed plus Wooju’s undeniable cuteness and how well the two of them function together. Their dynamic is genuinely adorable.

This drama could have simply followed that path: two people learning how to take care of a baby and dealing with the chaos and huge responsibility that comes with it.

But the writers apparently decided: “What if we add a villain?”

And after episode 10… I genuinely can’t unsee it.

He shows up again in front of her apartment, takes them to daycare and work like this is a normal routine, and the whole vibe is just… bizarre. Scary. Honestly creepy. Then she finally asks him something very important: basically, “Why do you keep showing up without saying anything?”

Which is actually a great question, because she’s subtly raising the issue of boundaries and personal space.

And what happens?
He makes an excuse that I’m almost sure is a lie: “it’s on my way.” Oh, probably not. Maybe later we’ll find out that his apartment is absolutely not on her way… but then hen immediately suggests doing it all the time.

That silence in the scene? It’s uncomfortable. Awkward. Almost scary.

Because the thing is - he knows.

He knows it’s uncomfortable. He knows it’s intrusive. He knows it’s inappropriate. But he keeps insisting anyway. He keeps inserting himself. It’s suffocating. And the worst part is that he knows exactly what he’s doing. CREEPY CREEPY ALERT

He constantly says he’s “hurt” when she thanks him, but that’s precisely because he always understood the tone behind her politeness. He knows she’s uncomfortable. And he also knows he holds structural power over her - he’s her sunbae, her team leader, someone older, someone with authority in their work environment.

That dynamic alone already puts pressure on her to comply.

Which is why it starts feeling manipulative.

Like I said after episode 9, the writers keep placing her in situations where she becomes overly compliant with him, and they keep overexposing his presence to the point that it becomes exhausting for the audience. What was supposed to be narrative contrast is turning into viewer fatigue. The repetition becomes suffocating.

And sometimes he’s framed as so excessively “perfect” that it actually becomes unsettling - like the kind of perfection that slowly turns into subtle control. The kind where, hypothetically, you marry him and one day you’re apologizing for breaking a glass because somehow it becomes your fault in a calm, rational, manipulative way.

Maybe it’s the constant appearances. The parked car. The timing. The way he inserts himself into domestic space.

It doesn’t read as romantic pursuit anymore. It reads as strategic persistence.

A stalker, but well-dressed, socially approved, and professionally respected.

Which makes it look acceptable on the surface… but doesn’t make it healthy.

So yes, narratively it might be unnecessary. But at this point, in a slightly ironic and not-so-serious way, I’ve just started watching him as the villain of the story.

And weirdly… that interpretation suddenly makes a lot of his scenes make sense.

As I wrote above, I think they let FL and SML have relationships followed by a some-years-gap
I refuse to believe that in a drama where a baby who lost their parents is supposedly at the emotional center of the story, the writers would drag out a years-long relationship with the SML just for some bizarre, last-minute character development twist.

And the scary part? The scenario that just popped into my head is something like Life As We Know It (spoilers warning) - where there’s a one-year time gap, the female lead enters another relationship, the two leads end up sharing custody separately, and only later reconnect at a party, confess their feelings, and the other guy steps aside.
The difference? That film is structured very differently. The emotional groundwork, pacing, and thematic framing are not the same as this drama at all. T

I agree with this comment to 100%! Things are moving forward, but I don't see the love triangle wrapping up yet,…
I agree with you 100%, and honestly

The discomfort is no longer subtext - it’s text. When she’s with SML, it doesn’t feel like choice. It feels like obligation. Social pressure. Hierarchy. History. Politeness weaponized against her own instincts. And that cake scene? That wasn’t “shy girl energy.” That was please stop projecting a narrative onto me energy.
And you’re right: ML’s absence should be catalytic. But not just in a soft “I miss him” way. It needs to expose the suffocation. Because what she’s experiencing with SML isn’t romance - it’s gradual narrowing of space. People telling her what makes sense. People assuming. People approving. People pushing. And that’s where the moral line becomes important. Tension is fine. Ambiguity is fine. But repeatedly rewarding manipulative persistence is not romantic - it’s uncomfortable. Especially when he knowingly inserts himself into a vulnerable situation.

One moment that really stood out to me was the scratch on her arm. The fact that she didn’t instinctively tell him about it subtly reinforced something important: she doesn’t see him as someone she naturally turns to. Not in a “I want to lean on you” way. Meanwhile, her concern was primarily directed toward the ML. That contrast wasn’t accidental.

Unfortunately, the writers keep placing her in positions where she feels overly compliant with the SML, and they keep overexposing him to the point where it becomes exhausting to watch. What could have been narrative contrast is turning into viewer fatigue. The repetition makes it feel suffocating, resentful, heavy. If his presence is meant to feel overwhelming, I genuinely hope it becomes overwhelming for her too — not just for the audience.

And here’s the thing: sometimes he’s framed as so excessively “perfect” that it starts feeling artificial. Almost unsettling. Like the kind of perfection that slowly turns into subtle control. The type where, hypothetically, you marry him and one day you’re apologizing for breaking a glass because somehow it becomes your fault in a calm, reasonable, manipulative way. I don’t know - maybe that’s extreme, but that’s the undertone the writing is starting to create.

Maybe it’s the constant appearances. The parked car. The timing. The insertion into domestic space. It doesn’t read as romantic pursuit anymore; it reads as strategic persistence. A stalker - but tailored, well-dressed, socially approved, professionally established. Which makes it more socially acceptable, but not necessarily healthier.

And the way he positions himself against the ML - almost paternal, almost superior - as if he has moral authority over a situation that isn’t his to govern… that dynamic doesn’t feel romantic either. It feels intrusive.

At this point, he hasn’t become a compelling rival. He’s become a prolonged pressure point. And pressure without progression doesn’t build romance - it builds suffocation. And it’s sad that we had to sit through this for so long in such a short series.
If this is intentional, then I hope the narrative follows through and lets her recognize that suffocation too.

I'm wondering if the writer through in a time jump for good measure...like ML comes back 3 years in the future…
Why does that lowkey scare me…That’s terrifying. Seriously, that would be bizarre 😭Please don’t give the writers ideas for future projects💀

That would be genuinely terrible. Not even in a dramatic way - just… narratively disposable. Completely unnecessary.

And with only a few episodes left, that kind of detour would feel inexplicably wasteful. Almost like narrative self-sabotage.

If they really go down that nonsensical route, I sincerely hope they discover a time machine in the finale and restart the story properly this time. 🙂

The whole empty-nest energy the ML leaves behind - the unspoken “we actually need you here” / “this doesn’t feel complete without you” is being set up.

Yes, it might feel rushed this late in a 12-episode structure. But considering we already have the ML’s confession, what’s left isn’t a new development - it’s confirmation from the FL. And her confusion has been obvious for a while.

What really stands out to me is the behavioral contrast. When she’s with the SML, she feels quieter, hesitant, almost restrained - like she’s trying to fit into something that doesn’t fully align with her. When she’s with the ML, she feels more alive. More reactive. More natural. The emotional rhythm between them is simply different.

And I don’t even think this will come down to some grand, dramatic realization. It’ll be the routine. The everyday life. The small, practical things that quietly demand the ML’s presence.

That’s probably the direction they’re aiming for: not just romantic longing, but the realization that in the rhythm of daily life, they already function as a unit. That they are, in practice, each other’s family. Each other’s home.

Which is why the absence hits harder than any confession could.

Is it exhausting that we’re still circling this dynamic with only three episodes left? Absolutely. But structurally, it feels like they’re using absence as a catalyst to accelerate clarity. Whether that lands as earned development or rushed resolution… that’s the gamble.

The saddest and most frustrating thing they could do is push all of this development into the last 15 minutes of the finale. And honestly… I wouldn’t even be surprised. Which kind of hurts to admit.

I’m even lowkey worried they might have the FL and the SML stay together for a while, just so she can “realize” it doesn’t make sense - and with only three episodes left, that would feel less like organic development and more like narrative stalling.

I keep thinking every time something like this happens… don’t these things go through multiple people and approval processes before airing? how many people approved this and said “yeah, this is it”??? how many people are guilty here?

Two things I hope happen next weeknumber 1 ML moves out she needs to feel the lost presence she took for grantednumber…
so the solution is emotional devastation AND unemployment? 😭 I get the frustration (and honestly, I kinda agree), but that sounds less like character growth and more like emotional punishment. and I’m also worried we don’t even have enough time left for that kind of arc before the ending.

I do agree with point #1 though - that’s actually my main confusion with this drama. we keep getting hints that the ML is essential to her life and emotional stability, but she keeps pushing things with the SML for way too long. and honestly, point #2 doesn’t feel very reasonable considering the SML’s behavior either… he’s been actively pursuing her for like 7 years or something, so it’s not like the triangle would just “end naturally” because of that.

so yeah, I’m fully on team point #1: we NEED her to fully realize she loves him - or at least truly needs him in her life (whatever label the drama wants to use) - and actually say to the SML: “thank you… and goodbye.” 😌

P.S.: I’m kinda shocked at how confused she still is, because the whole premise seemed to be about her wanting to raise and care for the baby on her own (at least in ep. 1 and 2 … and suddenly we find out she basically depends on the ML for everything related to that - like, honey??? 😭

if every eye roll I made whenever the SML shows up was worth one dollar, I’d have already bought the drama rights, rewritten the script, and written this man out by episode 3. and honestly… after watching the preview for episode 9, my only question is: are we still seeing this dude on screen?

I’ve been extra anxious and excited for this drama - mainly because it’s possibly based on one of my favorite romances, Life As We Know It. And honestly, it flows pretty well so far, even with that slight (maybe collective?) feeling that we’re dealing with the SML a little more than necessary.

What I miss the most right now is the actual “parents” dynamic. Like… living together and raising a 21-month-old baby is obviously chaotic, exhausting, emotional, and demanding. This whole storyline — two people who always lived just for themselves suddenly having their entire universe revolve around a baby (just like the drama’s title suggests) — is already super intense on its own. More scenes showing the childcare, the stress, the sleepless chaos, and the fears of raising a child together would honestly make it even more compelling.

I have zero patience for love triangles, but I don’t think all hope is lost yet. There’s something almost rational about the persistence of a first love - that almost mythical fantasy version of who they are, feeling like something unique you have to hold onto. Even in Life As We Know It, there are side love interests, and they kind of serve as a quiet confirmation that the protagonists aren’t officially a couple… even though they basically live and feel like one.

Honestly, in episode 6, I really liked the ML’s confidence - it gave me a tiny sense of satisfaction, and I actually found their little rivalry fun (maybe… just maybe… I enjoy it when the 2ML loses 😅). But then the ending brought the 2ML back way too close again.

At this point, wrapping up the love triangle ASAP should be a priority, even if that means a few almost-romantic scenes along the way. We already got the ML’s confession, which honestly surprised me a bit. My only fear is that they’ll drag out the love triangle and her uncertainty for way too long… which, in my opinion, wouldn’t make much sense. Maybe !!!for the baby’s sake!!! they won’t make their relationship unnecessarily messy.

Honestly, so far I haven’t hated the FL the way I’ve seen some people in the comments do. I actually think she does recognize the ML, and he has grown a lot on her compared to episode one. The thing is… they’re just in completely different moments in life right now. For her, everything is about fully taking responsibility for the baby and securing her permanent position at work. Meanwhile, the ML is holding everything together -strongly and beautifully - and even though she starts acknowledging that (like she says during the camping trip), it still feels like she doesn’t fully grasp the scale of it yet. They’re honestly much closer to a married/common-law couple than to “just friends” or a temporary living arrangement - even if she hasn’t realized that completely.

Anyway, I’m definitely still looking forward to the next episodes. 👀✨

damn you need to write a book at this point because the way you described everything was just chef's kiss!! something…
What a thoughtful compliment - you've truly made my month! ❤️ Haha, if I ever actually write that book, your signed copy comes with exclusive sarcastic footnotes (and maybe some dramatic underlining!). Thank you, that's so incredibly kind of you ❤️ But YES, you've nailed it perfectly - the ML's micro-expressions around the FL are masterful. It’s like the director weaponized restraint: his stoicism isn’t just character depth, it’s a canvas for those rare, fleeting cracks in his armor. And the fact that she’s the trigger? Sublime storytelling. The way this show weaponizes restraint lives rent-free in my brain. Every 'accidental' moment of vulnerability between them - every lingering look, every suppressed smile - feels like another deliberate breadcrumb along a carefully laid trail to something far more profound. And you’re spot-on about the intentionality: those moments aren’t throwaways, they’re loaded. If this is the appetizer, I’m terrified (and thrilled) to see what the main course looks like. This chemistry is too potent to waste!

Finding this drama was the most random thing ever. I had zero clue what it was about, just hit play. And boom, totally hooked. Like, the rare kind of binge where I’m racing to the next episode, scouring for edits, reading every comment, even checking view ratings like a maniac, praying it was doing well. Someone called it 'clean,' and that clicked, it’s smooth, effortless, no messy clutter. The legal office setting? Executed well. But let’s talk about the elephant in the room (or should I say, the pink elephant?): the great is-it-or-isn’t-it romance debate.

Honestly, by Ep 3 & 4, I couldn’t unsee the potential those camera-play hints? Chef’s kiss. Age-gap romance? My jam, but I get it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. What makes it work here, though, is how stupidly natural their chemistry is. It’s not forced; it just exists, woven into the subtext like some organic, slow-burn magic. The direction becomes impossible to ignore-framing, blocking, the charged space between lines. Age-gap dynamics are inherently polarizing, yet here, they’re rendered with such organic chemistry that it transcends trope. This isn’t mere will-they-won’t-they; it’s a quiet study of longing, of connection simmering beneath professional façades. The tension isn’t spelled out-it’s woven into stolen glances, the cadence of dialogue, the way the camera lingers a beat too long. But yeah, the ML’s emotional baggage could totally wreck it (do all age-gaps come with this?).
Dude’s flirting with red-flag territory, but Ep 6? That whole convo about love and madness? Felt like he saw himself in the victim’s story, like he was low-key confronting his own demons. And tossing those perfumes? Symbolic as hell.
Also, can we talk about his ex? Textbook toxic - her words were next-level narcissistic, almost psycho. Her dialogue isn’t just cruel; it’s a clinical dissection of emotional abuse, delivered with chilling narcissism. Chilling.

Anyway, the tension between them isn’t just visible- it’s tactile. You feel it on your skin, in that prickle at the back of your neck when they lean into each other’s space without realizing it, when a smile almost forms and then vanishes. It’s rare to see a connection this vivid yet restrained - like the camera just happened to catch something intimate, something raw. This isn’t about stolen kisses or grand confessions; it’s about the live wire of attraction, that unbearable almost that keeps you glued to the screen, biting your lip, begging for one more second, one more frame. I’m perched for the next episodes, silently shipping them even if it stays subtle. The crumbs? Delicious. The tension? Immaculate, proving that the most powerful moments are often the ones left unsaid." Feed me more.

I was so looking for this comment!!! I TOTALLY AGREE!!!! I basically finished this drama just waiting for every…
Okay, so I got super hooked on them, but I’m not sure how to explain it without dropping too many spoilers. But if you want a little taste of what I mean, I’d put it like this:
"Miao An Sun’s love and care made me desperately wish for a redemption arc for Mu Yu."
Tbh, I actually liked Blossom as a whole, but at some point, Miao An Sun totally became my new focus in the drama. You could give it another shot—or not, totally up to you! Honestly, I have no idea when they show up again since you stopped at ep. 21. But for me, by the time I finished Blossom, they definitely left their mark.

Warning: Very controversial. 👀

P.S.: If you do end up watching and come across them, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
P.S. #2: The way she loves and cares—so feminine, delicate, yet strong and resilient—completely captivated me. 💫

🚨 Spoiler alert! 🚨 Just a heads-up—the dynamic between Miao An Sun and Song Mo’s brother takes a very different path compared to the Empress and Emperor in Are You the One.

More spoilers ahead: Their relationship takes a pretty toxic turn at one point, and I can’t help but wonder—if Miao An Sun had come into his life earlier, could she have changed his fate the way Dou Zhao changed Song Mo’s? (Even though their situations are totally different, of course.)

Kindhearted, sweet, cute, yet strong, smart, and funny. An absolute delight with her feminine charm… I’m completely obsessed with her! I need more dramas with characters like her. Honestly, I’d watch an entire drama just about her and the Emperor. Bonus: I got totally hooked on their dynamic and now I’m dying for more! Honestly, in Blossom, I really liked Miao An Sun too! I can’t quite explain it, but she and her definitely give off similar vibes—like, there’s just something about them!

The whole bodyguards thing left me kinda confused, but I guess they only follow her on "official" outings? Maybe…
Yeah, you’ve got a point, I totally agree—the bodyguards probably follow her everywhere, and it just doesn’t make sense at all. But, trying to justify it to myself here hahaha, at first, I thought maybe the bodyguards were supposed to be hidden from her. However, she’s fully aware of them and even interacts with them (like in the courtroom scene where she almost contacts one of them). So maybe there’s this understanding that lets her dismiss them at times? Hahaha, this feels like a totally unnecessary overthinking moment—sorry about that! Either way, his whole “follow and watch her 24/7” vibe just doesn’t add up.
She really does seem to expose herself a lot while talking on the phone with the kidnapper. Like, during the bathroom scene at the party, I was so anxious thinking someone would pop up behind her, overhear everything, or just show up at the car window and catch her mid-conversation.
Anyway, I’m obsessed with this drama<3 <3!!!!! I’m just eagerly waiting for the next episode while coming up with random theories about it. 😅
