Since they were together, KYK has shown complete love, respect and protection towards LLE. Most impressively, KYK said he would like to heal LLE as she had healed him.
LLE has a brother-like SEP who helps her carry out her plan, and she has a soul mate KYK who wants to heal her. Imagine a life full of hatred since the age of fifteen and the price of a meticulous and merciless plan. All she needs is love that will heal.

Indeed a masterpiece, about love and revenge. Kdramas are so unexpectedly rich. Among the very few I have watched, this one is formidable.

I believe that's a main reason why he needs La El desperately. La El needs KYK too after all gone by. I like what KYK said I Episode 11 that La El had healed him and he was trying to heal her.

#HIKIKOMORI, KYK is a character with depth. His facial expression mixed lust with melancholy, mystery and pretense. He and La El are indeed the twin flames. Their chemistry was subtle but great.

1) Sora's logic was we knew you wanted Gediks, so we killed people to give it to you.
KYK's ambition does not justify the Hans to commit crimes. HSR did so because she desperately wanted to marry KYK.
2) KYK did not know the dead was La El's mother, nor did he know it was a murder.
He asked HSR who that woman was, but HSR did not tell her identity and called it an accident.
3) It is true KYK was too weak to protect his 'women.'
He had been humiliated by his own father for being born from a 'lowly' mother, and his instinct was to survive in fear. A singer and a Ms. Jung died for connecting to him, and all he could do was to show his anger to Kim Jung Chul, the murderer.
4) KYK's love for La El was unlikely driven by his jealousy of SEP.
In Episode 5, he was most jealous with SEP, the Italian businessman and his own brother, at a time when he wanted La El but could not have her at his will. In Episode 11 when he talked about businessman vs politician with SEP, he was kind of confident. In Episode 14 when they again had a conversation about the assassination, he still believed La El had chosen him. The only moment he was suspicious may be in the secret room when he asked whether SEP was also in the plan. He could have felt jealous when seeing SEP escorting La El out on the funeral, but all we saw on his face was guilt and shame.
I hope none of the three wi die in the end.

Well said, Silvana leno. KYG had been surrounded by killers and living a prisoner's life. He hated HPR (HSR hinted in Episode 14), traumatised by his own family, and disliked HSR so much. In this sense, La El was his only escape. In Episode 6 when he decided to fight against his own father, he told La El: with you by my side, I can do anything. It was with La El's help that he gained control of LY Group. Before La El, he had been a clown in king's disguise, a pawn in the game, and exploited and used by both families. He should be seen more of this wretched life.

KYG is not the killer.

I had wondered too. But then remembered La El's father was defamed as an industrial spy and reported suicide. They can forge explanations, as HSR did in La El's mother's death (she had health issue...accident...). KYG's response to the latter case tells that he could not stand murder.

@Silvana Ieno La El had to harden her heart in front of KYG so that she could lead the revenge after losing Ms. Jang, but she immediately felt the pain. Due to her push, KYG will testify in public. The development of KYG's character is amazing in the latest two episodes.
