This is a very smartly written drama guised as a kid comedy. Yes, there's the zany comedy which is very funny. But there are the more serious topics and references like Kokuto and others have mentioned. I think there are probably a lot of references that would go over the heads of many (including myself who are not familiar) but that's what's great about this discussion board.

I've enjoyed the references to older films like Roger Rabbit. To me, the bracelet is like a superpower that she's gettin into all these silly situation as she's learning to use it (like the Greatest American Hero way back)

If you like the vibe of Hidden Love and feeling the falling in love vibe and don't mind the TCM doctor falling in love with a hotel manager who is seeing him for insomnia, then check out TBT

If you like more gloomy angsty but forever faithful long time supporting boyfriend type like Lighter and Princess or Fireworks of my Heart, then check of TFF

If you like wacky but smart comedies that's not only about romance like maybe 'Oh no, here comes trouble' or 'the starry love'.. then try Filter.

Come to think of it Les Belles was quite enjoyable but more of a romantic comedy vs a comedy romance

Who knows - it seems like there’s haters for every currently airing drama trying to negatively influence the ratings w/o actually watching the drama.

from how its flowing so far, I doubt this misunderstanding will last very long. based on previews, probably cleared up by ep 10
