😭❤️ The rollercoaster of motions that I'm feeling right now.Oh my god, But it was so good I just can't…
It’s been a while and I still LOVE this drama. Just finished Si Jin and it did not capture me the same way this Blossom did. Blossom is great because it’s a love story with family and court politics supporting it. And the love just grows deeper as it progresses. The weakness towards the end for me was the ML started to be a little too dependent on her. He’s a strong and intelligent general.
Debating myself if I should watch this now or later. Is it really good?
If you haven’t already - what are you waiting for? I thoroughly enjoyed and still love it. It’s the directing, the cinematography, the costuming, the chemistry, the coolness. When this was airing, everyone was in LOVE with the ML’s gray hair. 🤣🤣🤣
It’s not typical storytelling where we know everything as the audience. Instead the director takes us on a journey along with the main lead (mfl) and we learn as they learn. Def high rewatch value. It pushed two not that well know actors to stardom.
Lots of love went into this drama and I would say it doesn’t have lazy writing for the most part. Remember, though, that it doesn’t have a big budget so do not expect scenes requiring lots of $ (like war scenes).
Why Song Mo father wanted to kill him? What actually happened between them?
Yeah - this drama doesn’t dump all the info at once to the audience. We’re kept in the dark like the mls and learn as we go. That’s why I enjoyed it so much. So creative how plot unveils.
Blossom won yet another awards! Most Popular Novel to TV Adaptation at Yuewen Global IP AwardsAt 2025 TV Drama…
Thấy s so wonderful to hear. You can tell everyone’s dedication to making it the best with the budget they had. The put the $ where it had the most return.
Go to the discussion topics. There’s a post where the producer (woman) talked about the ppl behind the making of the drama. The costume group have won awards for detailed, historically accurate, and exquisite costumes.
So - I wanted to commend this drama for having a pretty badass ruthless calculating villianess. To the very end, she apologized to no one for her actions.
Also- the costumes, though not my favorite, was pretty nicely detailed accordingly. From the fine outfits, headpieces of royalty to officials to merchants to common folks, there's no deny they put a lot of work in the details.
How's the drama, guys? I haven't watched anything about it, not even the trailer. Should I watch it or not? I…
I’m on ep 31 - I’d say ave at best. Note that I’ve been enjoying good dramas like: Filter The best thing Les belles Under the moonlight Blossom
So you will enjoy this drama if you’re looking for the following:
-Typical plot line -One dimensional super evil villains (who for some reason are all females) -strong female lead -righteous virtuous leads -weak men (other than ml) -so so directing -don’t mind how some things just don’t make sense -angst for angst purpose. -chemistry is not really there. Maybe I’m missing something.
So Blossom which as a similar premise had amazing chemistry and directing. This just doesn’t compare. It’s a bit boring.
I have been watching it hoping for it to get better or as a filler to other dramas I’m waiting on. Now, I just want to see the ending but I’m just not eager to watch it.
Some replies were off topic, including mine. I apologise for that.I could have just answered your question but…
You have to see it not from the POV of the audience who knows everything but the characters’ POV and it will make sense. Otherwise, you will get upset at each one of them because This is Not your typical drama with perfect characters. It is however, an entertaining endearing drama.

The concubine’s two face character reminds me of the old film “Raise the Red Lantern”. Looking forward to the next ep.
