So, this drama is full of unrealistic and impossible, dramatically, action-packed scenes which are absolutely perfect for the genre and are actually enjoyable. That said, the most unrealistic thing which I cannot get over is the part in which Ji Chang Wook is hitchhiking and not one car stops, like…. Really?? Who wouldn’t stop for Ji Chang Wook?? That’s totally unforgivable! 😅
It clearly takes elements from Gone with the wind. Especially the age gap and maturity difference and the fact…
Yeah, I’m also curious to see how the marriages part will play out here since the cultural difference regarding widows is so big. I’m now waiting for the second part and can’t wait to see what happens.
Yes, the writer has said she was inspired by Gone with the Wind. Not your fault for being new to the drama and…
Thanks! I only just watched the drama since I’m not a fan of waiting an entire week for one or two episodes, so I waited until it was over to watch it and didn’t read any comments to avoid spoilers until I actually watched it.
Is it just me, or does anyone else find a lot of resemblance to Gone with the Wind? Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving this drama; it is exceptionally good and one of the best I’ve seen this year. I’m still on episode 8 and finding a lot of similarities such as the female lead being a rich, spoiled lady who lives a worry-free life and is “in love” with her best friend’s fiancée/husband. The male lead is rich and business savvy with no political ties and initially comes across as selfish, although he isn’t. The backdrop of the war and the character’s hardships and losses through it is also very similar. I’m curious to know if the writers in this drama were inspired in Gone with the Wind while writing My Dearest. Does anyone know?
So, this sounds interesting and I’m thinking about giving it a go, but I have one VERY important and decisive question: does anything happen to the dogs?
