Additionally, this episode showed some character development for Shiba. Before, he didnāt care if Haruto flirted with another woman, but now he was clearly bothered and jealous, worried that Haruto might be interested in her. He even brought the meat that Haruto really wanted, and in the end, Haruto managed to make him smile.
The boss was more interested in the contents of the USB drive than in its actual owner, haha, so we gained another fudanshi!
However, it seems we're going back to the era of 2020 to 2022, when most Korean BLs were only about 10 minutes long, which is pretty disappointing. The premise is interesting, but the short duration is a letdown. š«
I love that Mishimaās mom doesnāt just have a regular group of friends; she has this super cool, loud gang of women! I really liked when she defended her son from her friends who wanted him to be āa real man.ā She totally nailed it when she said she doesnāt expect that from him!And when she mentioned that she would always be by his side, no matter what path he chose, I adored that.
And that scene where Mishima screams and scares Kirino, who was about to put on lipstick? I couldnāt stop laughing! Kirino looked so confused he didnāt know what to do. Normally, Iād think thatās karma, but knowing his backstory, it makes sense. This moment shows a more vulnerable side of Kirino, proving heās not just a homophobic bully. When he talks about the āPandoraās box inside him,ā heās referring to all those emotions and conflicts he canāt deal with. In the myth, the box holds all the worldās evils, and opening it unleashes disasters. For Kirino, it symbolizes his insecurities and fears. Just like in the myth, facing those emotions can release the internal conflicts and fears he struggles with. Itās even more impactful when he hears his mom say she wants him to be someone everyone can be proud of. Thatās why he was bullying Mishima trying to protect his identity and fit into a mold that doesnāt reflect who he really is.
The last scene was just amazing! The rooftop became a safe space where they can be themselves without worrying about what others think. Mishima is such a good person; instead of giving Kirino a hard time, he embraced him and let him feel free to be who he is. When Kirino shouts āAtashi,ā he looks so happy it makes you want to shout along!
Okay, Haruto is absolutely one of my favorite characters of 2024! The way he takes care of Shiba is amazing and so funny.
The scene where heās taking care of Shiba in the bathtub full of roses and doing a skincare massage with a rose in his mouth was hilarious! I thought last week's scene, where he posed in his underwear in front of Shiba, was the best. And Shiba almost drowning during the massage š¤£
And when they smiled at each other in court, it felt like they were flirting š„°
Episode 5 focused on Haoren's vulnerability, showcasing his struggle with grief and difficulty expressing his feelings. At the beginning, he was almost unresponsive, sitting alone and lacking motivation. My heart ached to see him so lost, unsure if his sadness was only about his mother's death.
When he and Chihiro went out to eat, I felt happy. Chihiro bought something for Haoren for the first time, and they spent the whole night walking around. In the early morning, Chihiro offered him a scarf as a gift, and they even went boating.
The truck scene was distressing; I wanted to scream when Haoren said, "leave me here, I'm going to sleep." They both seemed to have lost everything, yet at the same time, they became reasons for each other to live. When he mentioned the pain in his hand, it wasn't about the injury but about his grief, finally revealing what he felt. I cried a lot.
Episode 6 started off well between the two, with a somewhat awkward confession of love and a ceremony. However, Maya's appearance made me feel disgusted. This character gives me chills, and the actor did an amazing job eliciting so much anger.
The first episode was really fun and a great start. Iām already in love with both protagonists. I would definitely be easily seduced by Haruto š„°he is so charming and seductive. As for Shiba, I thought he was always serious, grumpy, and bad-tempered, but that changed when he started talking to his plants and giving each one a name. Iām looking forward to the next episode!
Episode three was quite intense; it triggered me and I started crying suddenly. The feeling was very similar to what I experienced reading the manga. The directors did an excellent job.
Haorenās reaction when Chihiro mentioned that his birthday was last week was so adorable. He wouldnāt let anyone touch his laptop but gave Chihiro the chance to use it as a gift. It was a very kind gesture on his part.
Additionally, I felt a strong urge to punch Chihiroās ex. Heās unbearable, with such a high ego. Itās incredible that Chihiro got involved with someone so despicable.
The scene where Chihiro asks Haoren if itās better to be trash or a toy was quite painful. Haorenās answer might have been harsh, but it makes sense in a broader context: while trash can be discarded without value, a toy, even if temporary, still has a purpose and receives some care. Thatās why Chihiro always had the option to leave whenever he wanted. In the first episode, when he asks Haoren if he can stay, Haoren responds with indifference. Haoren might not be capable of offering love, but he doesnāt treat Chihiro as trash, just as something that can be discarded at any moment.
And it was insane to see how they smiled afterward as if nothing had happened.
Now, episode four was tough to watch. I didnāt expect them to include the heavy parts of Haorenās childhood. The child actors who played young Haoren did an exceptional job, perfectly conveying the sense of suffocation and suffering.
AAAA, IN THIS EPISODE, THEY LOOKED SO DOMESTIC š„° AMASAWA SHOWED A LITTLE BIT OF JEALOUSY TODAY, JUST A LITTLE š I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN HEāS GOING TO CONFESS, BUT ISUMI IS PRACTICALLY DROPPING SEVERAL HINTS.
AND THE FRIENDS OF ISUMI WHO SHOWED UP AT AMASAWAāS HOUSE WITHOUT NOTICE WERE REALLY FUNNY. I LOVE HOW THIS TRIO IS ALWAYS TOGETHER; I ALWAYS END UP LAUGHING SO MUCH.
When Isumi gets angry, heās so adorable! š His panicked reaction when Amasawa started hugging him and explaining how to do tai chi was really funny.
Yesterday, I was surprised to discover that the series only has 7 episodes . When it was announced, I'm sure they said there would be 10 episodes. Now, there are only 7? I hope I'm wrong and that the actor's age didn't actually influence this decision. It's sad because I was really enjoying the series, which not only explores the love between two people of different ages but also brings life lessons and tips on nutrition, among other things.
