Same here! I didn't want a happy ending. I just wanted a realistic one. Good or bad. What I received was a product of a twisted mind who probably thought that this strategy - to change the events so dramatically - will help the rating perhaps.

Oh, God! I forgot about History - Make Our Days Count !!!! Another heart-breaking ending! I like to think that in real life there is a happy ending. A movie is a movie, life is life. But, still, to watch a movie, falling in love with the characters and see a very sad ending - this has no fun! Have a great week-end.!

I watched it today, for the first time. And the END was.....what was that!? Why???? The movie is wonderful, the end is totally wrong! I will not re-watch it. The end broke my heart. And it is not a reasonable end. The probability for something like that to happen is near to zero, so I don't understand why they chose this end. I didn't read the comments. Otherwise, I would have stopped at 1:02:00........my mistake!
