As a gay man myself, Love in the Big City is the BL (or queer drama, whatever you call it) with the most realistic…
I've seen plenty of BLs, don't worry for me. I'm not saying that this show is the only one that portrays gay life realistically, I said it's among the few ones that does it the right way and doesn't sugarcoat things like the traditional BLs. And obviously lovey-dovey stories exist in the gay community, but not in the same proportions as the lovey-dovey BLs.
i hope it's not a dumb question, but do you think it's necessary to watch Close to you to understand The nameless…
There has been only one episode of "The Nameless Season" so far and the story seems like it'll stay pretty simple so I'd say no. But I still recommand "Close To You" because it's a great watch and you can already feel their chemistry and their love despite it being short (20 min). Also they said that "The Nameless Season" acts as both a prequel and a sequel to that first chapter of "Close To You", so watching it would be like watching two extra episodes ^^
As a French person I love the current trend including real French actors in Thai BLs.
For those who don't know about French history, the first episode briefly referenced the real events of "May 68" when huge protests and strikes took place all over the country. It is considered as a huge historic event in France, as many things changed for workers, students and on political, societal and cultural levels.
I wish they'd find a way to adapt it to normal 16/9 format with 6 episodes of 20 minutes. Why making it (only) reel format and cutting you off from a large part of the audience ? I don't get it...
A very good and sweet BL, I wasn't expecting that quality of production and acting because of the format and the length. I wish it was longer and more fleshed out, I loved the two main characters and their relationship.
I'm confused, are all the episodes already out ? I thought only episodes 1 & 2 were available. Because people in the comments talk about things I haven't seen in any of the first two episodes...

Btw this BL extends the story of Dowan and Jae Yul from the first chapter of "Close To You". So check it out if you haven't 😋

We don't know yet the number of episodes but it is connected to the first chapter of "Close To You", released a few months ago.

Eun Oh is my favorite character of the show, he's an observant and smart individual on top of being a real caring friend.
