Am I the only one wondering why there's the need for a competion to decide which team will perform surgery on…
I understand what you're saying. The focus is still on saving the babies and Dr. Park reminded Dr. Han of that. Dr. Han has ulterior motives, because he wants to tear down the hospital that made him an orphan. Dr. Moon wants his position back from Dr. Han. The Prime Minister is using the North Koreans to manipulate the results...no matter what. If this drama removed those 3 main stories, Dr. Park and Dr. Han wouldn't be working at the hospital, Dr. Moon would still be the Director of cardiology and the drama would be boring.
The reason there was a lot of arguing and team switching was, Dr. Moon's team isn't fully formed like Dr. Han's team. Since it's an urgent operation, Dr. Park and Dr. Moon are in a hurry to put a team together. Dr. Han was playing the political card by keeping Dr. Oh as his first, until the anesthesiologist pointed that out. That's why she got replaced by a better doctor.
Also, I think office politics happens everywhere, and it's worse when there is only one position available. I don't think blind ambition happens everywhere, but it does exist. Bottom line: Try not to take it personally and just be the best doctor you can without being swayed by office politics or blind ambition.

Whoever wins the competition and operates on the PM's heart will be known as the best cardiologist in Korea. That also means the can work and do whatever they want...including being the owner of a hospital. Dr. Han already had.a team, but Dr. Moon wanted the chance to have a team operate on him too. So, to solve the problem, the chairman decided to have competition where the winner's team would operate on the PM and there would be some type of punishment for the loser. When the chairman found out who Dr. Park really is, he changed the competition to one surgery...the twin babies. This is good for the Mom, because Dr. Park's condition was the hospital pay for it. The goal of the surgery is to fix the heart completely in the maximum time allowed for a baby to be on anesthesia...45 minutes. So, not only are the twins getting a free surgery, they have the best cardiologists working on them.
Waiting to find out if their heartbeats are the same...I'm thinking they are not.
Yes, she had 2 bad kidney's and 1 was transplanted. After she got shot and fell off the bridge, she was captured by someone. It may have been the North Koreans or that doctor in North Korea that donated the medical equipment (was he German?) and helped them escape the first time. Park Hoon, is not convinced that Jae Hee is dead, especially after that doctor show him the picture of her and said she is alive, which is why he wanted to see if their heartbeats are the same.
I think Jae Hee is dead, and Seung Hee took her place; which is why she is Doctor Stranger. But there is a possibility she was brainwashed and took on the identity of Seung Hee.

I thought he was referencing what he said to Song Jae Hee in North Korea. He said everybody heartbeat is different, then he hugged her and told her their heartbeats were the same.
Loved main couple- I think it\s been a while since I've seen acting that moving and beautiful. This drama when…
I completely agree about the acting. This drama did not show the affair as cheap and dirty, but instead it showed how loving some affairs are and why some people have them. I don't know too many women who would not be tempted by a strong and loving LSJ.
