I said this already but I will say it again. Yes, the male lead Chang Chen is an older man, he is 12 years older than the female lead Ni NI. But she's already around 30 during the drama so I don't have any problem with that. I think people are overlooking the fact that the role of the God of War isn't a role for someone young. Jiu Chen is someone who is over many thousands of years old and went through many calamities, so Chang Chen isn't a bad pick for this role. I also think that Chang Chen is attractive and handsome, he's definitely a great actor and played the role of a cold but romantic God of War well.

I believe that they share the same universe, but this one is definitely set many years and generations before Eternal Love. Therefore, the characters from both drama are probably not related.

I agree! Chang Chen is a very attractive and good looking actor. I think people are overlooking the role of the God of War, he’s supposed to be someone older so Chang Chen isn’t a bad choice.

There’s going to be a new drama called Ancient Love Poetry, it’s already in the work and will be air some time this year. It’s also directed by the same director of Love and Redemption. It’s definitely on my watchlist.

I understand you and your mom’s opinion on the male lead Chang Chen. However, note that he is an older man and has been in the film industry for a very long time. This drama was his first one ever! To me, he is not ugly but rather attractive and manly, probably because he is an older man and not a young pretty boy. But that’s just my preference. I watched this drama because of him, he’s definitely a charismatic God of War who has gone through so much and that is definitely not a role for someone young. He did his role right and he should be praised for it, not for his looks, but sadly people overlooked these facts. But then again, this is my opinion. (:

You are correct, Novoland is originally a novel series of the fictional world. Although all the series have the same name “Novoland” in their titles, they are not related to each other. Meaning you don’t have to read or watch a specific Novoland series to understand the others.
