Agreed. Really awful ending indeed. What was the point of making Wataru seem so suspicious the whole time if in the end there was only that painting issue and his obvious love for Miki? And all those news about the murders nearby ended up being irrelevant to the story too lol
Making Satsuki going from a troublemaker to a good, pitiful girl was kind of lame as well. Your ending would be a hundred times better.
