On The Next Prince Jul 13, 2025
As i see the story unfold, the screenwriter is truly brave. The beauty of having an imaginary country like Emmaly is that as a creator you have free reign to go deep in political criticism by safeguarding yourself from legal implications The Next Prince is doing that beautifully. Their target audience is listening.

Title The Next Prince Spoiler
Sadly this is true tho 😞
Also i want to address the Prince Tharinand his response to his child being alive. I can understand to most, his response was not very realistic according tto their own personality and emotions, but me being a therapist by trade, i have had experiences with situations such as these and everyone responds very differently.Personality significantly influences how individuals respond to various situations particularly when one faces stress or emotional challenges. Prince Tharin response is realistic for him.. Its fitting for his personality. To him the logistics
behind it he just minimal he's just glad to have him back. Also as we just discovered another factor to his reaponse is his relationship with father. when it comes to things he doesn't give a lot push back or inquire a lot . One if he does he is ignored or brushed off and even told to leave as depicted in recent episodes with the king. The episodes having things add up. But will admit it's more of analytical watch than anything.

I dont think this all of their eggs. I think this was the start of the revamp of the production side. Khemjira and zomvivors are up next. Zomvivors is a bigger budget . So we see how the storytelling works with these.

Yes i agree with that part the push and pull with charan and khanin is not very long in the series and their journey on how they fell its not there either. Little nuances are but not in a way that its hugely noticeable . For me, khanin is literally the same just in
different clothing. But it was request in ep 3 if the kingdom had different clothing because it wasnt his style and he was told no. The attitude to information he doesnt agree with is still there, the walk( in which is nunew's natural ) is there. The lack of interest he had to Emmaly was

still there . He is just now taking interest since he sees the
kingdom was not what he thought. Which is a nod to current situation(air quality) in their own country but its illegally to reference or openly criticize the government, military and or monarchy. So its
being discussed in disguise with the series.

Beautiful observation of the scene, but Practicing a lot to correct error doesn't always equate passion. It was something has been doing since he was kid because of his father. Along with music and learning different languages. He was being trained for the royalty role, but he wasnt aware. He thought he was bounding with his father and doing what he is father wanted him to do, but it was never really like it. How he felt about it was depicted in his response to father with everything being Emmaly. Its all on preception. The practice a lot was due to charan's observation and comment. Khanin always had that error with his fencing. It was stated by his father but he only took notice or wanted to correct the error once the words of charan got in his head. That was depicted in the recall scene as he kept practicing in episode 1. Interesting that the error resurface again in later episodes when charan and khanin were practicing and stated you are doing the mistake again and he states he forgot and apologized. But he was despondent due to losing. My observation that his wanting to fence is contingent on someone else. Not himself. I will agree with you that emotional connection they developed upon the journey to Emmaly is missing. The things that happened on that journey is the reason khanin and charan was attached to each other but yes its not shown in the series. Little nuances are but not in a big way that its noticeable for some. Charan feelings are depicted at all until ep 6. The internal struggle charan had with his feelings vs his duty is not very noticeable as well until ep 7.
But Yes, thats the plot. The politics are the reason khanin was sent away. Its the reason khanin is back. They couldn't be together due to the politics. The climax of the relationship is due to the royal politics.

Charan is a lower class. And he is aware of it but has developed feelings during this time but he is obedient and knows his place in which why he stays away. Khanin doesn't understand because he didnt live there. He doesn't care. Also more about charan feelings are through symbolism and which were expressed in his garden of eden painting and also in the conversation with paytai about the painting.Ironic that he gave the painting to King.

The character khanin always had sass. Depicted in sly remarks to charan when he was being followed by charan, to his friends knowing charan was his type., Also seen in the pocky game kiss and how it at first didn't phase khanin and his remarks to it. The only thing that changed was clothing the personality was always there. It just as the series continue to play out you start to see it more. The character ballsy, sassy, not afraid to go against the grain, yes he likes his man and he wants what he wants. That was there the whole time.

is it just me or has nothing really happened in this show? like we are 10 ep in and the only thing that has happened…
Ok . With the plot you starting to see it rev up. Charan received a letter in ep 9 but he thinks its a distraction. And he received the phone call about the past in ep 10. All of that will come to a head as he keeps getting more information and the relationship with khanin gets deeper. His loyalty to the king has and will continue to change. Each clan are slowly are starting to open their eyes to the common problem denominator - the king. Bhuchongpisut was always against the king but even more
so after ep 9. The son in Assavadevathin starting to see he never controlled anything and his father kept him in the dark. The davitchmetha and meenangrins are next. The competition is ep 11

I'm so disappointed with The series after that long wait 🫤First of all, I dont know about y'all but when watching…
The character khanin was always a cunty character. He was one in the novel and he is one on the series. Im a little confused on how that was missed in episode on 1 when he ask charan why he was following him and then proceeded to tell him is not interested/type in a flirty manner. His role was never ment to be seene the way you imagined in yout head. Our greatest disappointment comes when our expectations of what we wanted and who we want people to be dont match the reality of who they are and what we got. He wasnt passionate about fencing. It was something he did because of his father. His father trained him in it for preparation of the contest that he would have to go back too. The solider/father didnt know when. The next prince's plot was always the political intrigue. The subplot was the development of love between an heir and his bodyguard as they discovered the truth about the royals and their politics.
