The chemistry and acting were fantastic but the story was let down by some major changes from the book. A lot of the alterations didn’t make sense especially the shift in Ai’s character which disrupted the plot. The writers included some sexist and borderline sexually harassing lines that felt completely unnecessary and out of place. These changes really detracted from what could’ve been a stronger adaptation.
