I felt like the writers dropped the ball with Aoey. I was expecting more after they showed his relationship with his family. Aside from that, this was a nice BL rom-com. I'm not sure why I don't hear it mentioned that much in other BL spaces.
Was I suppose to root for these two? The way JW talked to and treated SJ was depressing and cruel. Why was he so cold towards Seo Joon? It was never properly explained. I was so happy when i saw SJ start to push JW away. It's a shame that it didn't stick and he accepted Ji Woo's weaksauce apology (where he didn't really explain himself at all. He just said he was a coward). I wished Seo Joon would have learned to love himself. He deserved better.
Welp I spent the whole drama rooting for the wrong couple (Tae Kyung and Da On). I knew they weren't the OTP but I couldn't help myself! Da On is too caring and too nice (which ended up being his biggest downfall). I didn't find Shin Woo and Tae Kyung's love story believable. The writer didn't put in enough time and effort into their relationship.
I love the social commentary and the different ways its expressed in this drama (by protesting, graffiti art, through dance, etc). I'm absolute sucker for hidden identity stories. The social commentary was just the cherry on top 😜. Great drama!
Take a hike Teh! You don't deserve Oh-aew! 😡 Ugh this series and its characters are messy and complex in the best possible way ❤. As painful as it was to watch at times it was beautiful watching Teh and Oh-aew evolve and really come into their own. Their fights...their struggles....their careless actions.. I appreciate the realism of it all.
