Yes, I agree that he showed some similarities with the dad in Mouse and there could also be a possibility that he said it out of spite, but in the end when he was given multiple chances he didn’t take it.
I agree with Nimwoo that what Hi soo went through was so devastating and it was already to the point that it was like her whole life chapter with Ji Yong was a lie cause of all the things he did (including how he prioritizes the baby and didn’t even show that he was concerned for Hi Soo) and when she confronted him he just said that she was just an accessory to him, so it just shows to Hi Soo that Ji Yong never even loved her.

Yup! As for your question in no. 2, ji yong said that his relationship with Hye jin was just a fling, but I’m not sure if he really meant that. Hye Jin was also rejected because she was poor. Hi Soo on the other hand was like a nice accessory to him cause she was famous and has a better status in life. Although I don’t know if Ji yong really loved the two of them.

This is what I understood from the story: 1. The nun spread the news that the friend (mom of Ji Yang) had a child with one of the clients out of spite, that’s why gossips of the friend in the place they worked in were spreading making that friend have a bad reputation. Since the nun loved the old chairman she thought that spreading that could let the chairman dislike the friend. The friend (mom of jiyong) still ended up with the old chairman and she (mom of jiyong) hated the fact that she had ji yong because he was not biologically related to the old chairman(cause there would also be inheritance issues).
