Actually it could have had people found out about it. It would make the Shens look like a bunch of fools. No one would want to entrust their business with them if they are so easily fooled by one woman….That’s not to say SHM is blameless. He is far more manipulative.

That’s called growth. Once she was under the protection of Sima Jiao, her old self started to come back.

Go back to episode one and you’ll see. Despite the fact that they didn’t outright say it but their story came full circle. I loved it.

They can’t. Cdrama censorship. Anything that has to do with transmigration has a strict censorship. That’s why the ending is more open to interpretation.

I personally don’t think he transmigrated, since there’s no indication of him behaving like a modern man. I however choose to think that he’s dreamt about her his entire life reliving his memories just like the mortal arc.
