can I ask how did you become a Star Member? I can't find any info on what that means on the FAQ D:
I wonder what it is...I thought for a while that it might have to do with the "level" that is set next to the "total edits" in the profile (I don't know if that refers to profile edits or what edits exactly though), that maybe once you reached a certain level you got a star, but it doesn't seem to be the case because I've seen examples that prove that wrong, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is the 2nd comment I see regading this, I haven't watched the movie yet, is he leaving?
Oh boy...I'll try to watch the movie but I'm skipping that other sequel if he isn't there, his character is great, I can't think of the show without him tbh.
I hope someone picks this up for subs or that it becomes available because I was never able to find the specials with subs and I haven't heard of anyone picking this up...I loved the first season, I hope I can watch this :'(
This isn't really my kind of drama but I'm super glad Hirano Sho is getting some work finally, he was my favorite on SHARK and I wondered for quite some time when he was gonna debut with Johnny's, even if I don't know how the system is even working these days and whether the debut is relevant for work nowadays anyway, all things considered. This is way different than we he did on SHARK (and a lot more Johnny's style) but I'm happy for him, he seems like a talented kid, I hope he does well. It is, after all, kind of a Johnny's tradition to follow on a senpai's role/drama, I don't think this one will have nearly the impact the first one had, because it sort of marked the path for a genre that now has become commonplace, in a way, and became an international classic, which responded to a media context of the time when it came out, with all it implies, but what do I know. Thanks for the article! I haven't read the manga nor did I know much about it so this is very useful to get the whole picture.
Thank you for this review!I was so upset that Netflix in my country added Re:Mind but not Re:Wind and it made…
You're welcome! I was also confused but it should be listed as episode 13, at least that was the case for me on Netflix. If you end up wanting to discuss the drama afterwards, let me know! I have so many questions lol
The first drama with him I saw, ages ago, was the Tantei Gakuen Q live action with Kamiki Ryunosuke, when they were tiny, and not too long ago they were together again in his version of Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo, the NEO drama version, which I consider the James Bond of Johnnys lol since Domoto Tsuyoshi, Matsujun and Kame played the role before him, but Ryosuke's version is my favorite. I was insanely happy when I heard he was to play Edward in FMA, he was born for the part imo. Hidarime Tantei Eye is definitely one of my favorites of his as well, I agree with that 100%!
Best Japanese Actress: - Karina (Ando Ranko in Kirawareru Yuuki) - Kimura Fumino (Haruko Kogetsu in Boku Unmei no Hito Desu, although her role in Ito-kun A to E is also really good) - Watanabe Naomi (Suzuki Kanna in Kanna-san)
he had a best of release in the beginning of this year, end of last? and he did 2 mini concerts in 2016 Future…
Yes, he had a Best album released last year, but there was just one new song in it, and technically it was a best album of the music he's released under Warner Music, it had a remix of Daite Señorita but the rest were all Warner-released songs because of the prior ones being owned by the JE label, so it was "kind of" a best album :( He had issues with the agency for various reasons but most of the stalling started occurring after Iijima Michi left the company and then the whole SMAP thing happened (Yamapi had A Nude released under the partnership he had with Shingo, who at the time was also under Michi's management). Anyway, we will never know what's the real reason behind the music hiatus, some people think it's because of the thing with Jin, some think it was something that happened with a fan's cellphone and ended up in the tabloids, others because of the whole Michi/Mary situation of the past...with Johnny's you never know, really, so we can only guess. There was also Senaka Goshi no Chance, but it was a J Storm release, so who knows what's going on inside J&A.
This is very interesting! The Craft is one of my favorite movies of all time, if I could turn back time (because they aren't teens anymore, but let's pretend) I'd probably pick Crystal Kay for Rochelle and Anna Tsuchiya for Nancy :D
A fun Karina drama I enjoyed was Misaki No 1, which is kind of like Gokusen but with the teacher being secretly a hostess. If you're into that kind of Gokusen-ish sort of thing, it's a fun one to watch and Karina does a good job in it. I also really liked her performance in Kirawareru Yuuki as well, it was very good.
Dragon Zakura is a very underrated drama with Yamapi that's the first of him I watched, back in the day. His role in Flowers for Algernon was one of his best performances to date tbh, and I'm also very fond of Code Blue, which I'm really glad to see back on screen. I do miss his singing, though, I hope they let him release something soon. My deluxe 3 disc copy of Supergood Superbad is one of my most prized possessions lol
