I agree. I personally thought the ending was really well done, but I can understand why others might not like it as much, and that's okay! As humans we all have different opinions, so we should respect them. Let's hope in the future the situation calms down a bit and both sides will not be mean to each other over how it ended.

There’s a saying that you let someone go only because you love them so much. I really felt that after watching this, and I’m glad they let each other go. Guys, them leaving each other doesn’t make their love and the show pointless. Would you say the same thing with Yeji and fencing? She left so she could try something else, even though she dearly loved fencing once. Just like that, I can feel the same thing with heedo and yijin’s relationship. They loved each other so much, but being in the same situation they were in made it hard on them. That doesn’t make the relationship they had any less special, it just hurts a little bit more :)

I agree with you so much! Even when they broke up, I felt this bittersweet warm feeling, like their relationship still carries on in a weird way, they just weren’t meant to be together for now, and that’s okay!

I know a lot of you are pissed at the ending and I see why, but it did end up touching me. I know we watch dramas to get away from reality, but I think after time I will recover from their sad ending and realize it’s not really sad. They loved each other, and that’s all that matters. They gave each other strength, and she showed her daughter that strength as well. I honestly can see why they broke up. Their relationship was hurting their feelings, and to hurt each other more is the last thing they wanted. While I admit that I’m broken they didn’t end up together, I would be lying to say that this ending didn’t touch me. This drama was special and will always be special to me. It shows me that in the future if I love something dearly, it was worthwhile and not pointless even if it ends. Thank you for everything, 2521.

It did go dark. I literally used to laugh throughout the week before, and now I’m just sad and waiting. Let’s hope for the best

One thing this show does well is how each character’s emotions are portrayed. There are so many dramas where the characters are underdeveloped and the male lead has some sort of trauma which the female lead magically heals just by stepping in his life. I can’t really understand that, cause they don’t really let us understand it. We are just expected to feel bad for them and like them. But this show really develops the characters. They show the developing relationships between the characters properly as well, and how these relationships heal the characters. This makes me root for them. I’m really gonna be sad when the show ends.

I feel like the reason is cause people can relate to the characters. If your characters are relatable, I feel like people tend to like the show more. I personally think it deserves it’s rating, but I have friends who don’t really like the show and don’t find it that comforting. It’s all based on taste really, and that’s the beauty of dramas :)

I completely agree! I honestly don’t mind however the show ends as long as they keep the meaningful vibe to their relationship like they have done so far

I love this drama so much, as I can relate to the characters. While I have never experienced even living in the times where they grow up together, I can feel them. Their love for what they do, the comforting they wanted and get in each other, and their growing pains. It’s all relatable in that sense, which makes you root for them all. I love how they made it so Ye ji didn’t just magically fall back in love with fencing. They showed it’s okay to quit some things and start new beginnings for yourself and your happiness, and the time you spent doing things in the past aren’t for nothing, cause once you truly loved what you did :). For anyone here in the comments that needs this, I hope everything goes well for you! We may not have a hee do or yi jin, but we have this drama. It’s here to comfort us for everything we have cried for, for everything we have fought for, and for everything we have done to get here. This drama makes me realize, life is complicated, we all have our own stories, and they are all important.
