A lot of people complaining were novel fans first and are just disappointed it's not being accurately adapted and a lot of major peemkhem relationship moments and developments are cut for a storyline where they'll (likely) be apart most of the special episodes... when the main story also barely had relationship moments as is
Edit to be clear: I still enjoyed it personally, but i wanted to share some of the actual complaints because some are just chalking it up to fans mad about screen time, which isn't the case
