I first watched Cha Eun Woo in True Beauty and I didn't like his acting - I thought he was just another one of those idol actors. But seeing him in this drama was such a delight! All the emotions he conveyed through his facial expressions and acting! It makes this drama even more sweet and humurous.
He left a very deep impression in My Golden Life and even stole the spotlight sometimes, which wouldn't have been possible if he hadn't been such a good actor. I'm looking forward to seeing him in more dramas :)
I think this lakorn would have been better if it had been a bit shorter. On the one hand, it was realistic that it took Beauty so long to change herself, but on the other hand, it was quite draggy sometimes. But all in all, I enjoyed it a lot and liked how it was different from other Thai dramas I've watched so far ^^
Thanks for this great article, I really liked reading it ^^
There were really stories like Tae Guk Gi. My professor even told me that it was based on a true story but I don't have that source because it's in Korean. What might also be interesting is that there is a Statue of Brothers in the War Memorial of Korea which shows an older brother, a ROK officer, hugging his younger brother, a North Korean soldier, on a battlefield.
Also, the Aerok Hill in The Front Line is indeed fictional but it was named like that because when you read it backwards it's Korea Hill ;)
