Those are all the aspects I wanted to watch it for, I like the main group (except Ming Xiu she wasn’t the greatest character in the group) and most groups always have at least two couples. Saving the world as a team is also one of my favorite themes, but Bian Luohuan probably started to ruin the show for me. The one thing that made me stay was my curiousity killing me on how MLs doppelgänger came to life and how he met the FL. But when that part came, I didnt even understand it. So I’d be really grateful if you could explain those both parts to me🥲
I really have no idea how anyone loved this drama. I liked the characters, special fxs, costumes, etc etc, but honestly, if the relationship between the leads and the ending was better I would've given it a higher rating. Also the ML’s doppelgänger randomly appearing outta nowhere and kidnapping the FL really started getting on my nerves. The ending was literally neither a HE or a SD. I’d call it an extremely confusing open ending. One of my favorite characters who died earlier randomly appeared as a kid in the end. The show really started to fall apart for me after ep 5. One thing which was actually worth till the end was the second couple, Wan Peng and the Wolf Demon. So if you root for second couples, this drama is for you. But if you don’t like weird ambiguous relationship between the main leads causing confusion for everyone if they are siblings or couples, please just get it out of your plan-to-watch whenever you can, because everything that really happened throughout the show lost all its worth in the end. It is 3/10 for me, 2 for Wan Peng and the Wolf Demon, and 1 for Esther , because even though the storyline became a mess after ep 5, Xinxin nailed her bubbly, cute role which was the main thing I was there for in the start.
I wished they gave jieli more screen time!! Her story seems unfinished!!!
I know right! Even though they did reveal her family background, I really wanted too see her and Shang Que together more, they are the couple who got the least screentimeT^T
