Really need this right now T_T. Ding Yuxi definitely needs to appear more in modern dramas, this is one of I'm really looking forward to!

Im hunting cdramas. I read about a lot of bad comments of FL. Should I still watch this?
Honestly speaking, this was my favorite detective drama this year, and it was a really good and refreshing watch for me. True, the FL does have a bunch of dumb moments, but overall, she’s nice and smart. I really loved her as a young actress and Ding Yuxi, He also had a great role here and the lead's chemistry went along so well with the plot! I really loved it, it’s very recommendable if historical-detective is your genre.

He did lie to her to remove the bracelet safely, and he also really trusted his brother because she was still…
I know, I felt like she did’t deserve DFQC’s love at all later, but he still didn’t give up on her even when she married Changheng😭.

No, actually, I haven’t read it but I was trying to find it online, but I didn’t , so I watched the anime instead. The anime was pretty great, but not at all similar to this drama, no heart curse, no Changheng, most aspects that were here are not in the anime at all. It was still pretty good though!

Haha…it also shook me the same way, and yes, the ending could’ve been a lot more better. It was way too rushed, and I kind of also wanted to see them both in the mortal world once again. And yeah, Xiyun was a whole other person, totally different from XLH, and so I never really liked her. It got really depressing from ep 30-36. But still this show has been my all time favorite and I can never get tired of it!

They both find the their feelings for each other at the same time! You can see it in ig ep 23 or 24, when Xiao Run took XLH for a date. DFQC was watching them from behind and XLH also realized that DFQC did the same things for her that Xiao Run was doing now.

In ep 1 she entered his Sea of Heart for the first time, she touched the tree and the snow on it melted because she could heal plants, but because she was from Xilan, it also caused the Xilan Curse to fall on DFQC. Up to ep 16, DFQC couldn’t feel anything. Then in ep 15 or 16, (after he saved her from Rong Hao) the tree starts to sprout again. Then by ep 18, he fully recovers his emotions and starts to actually be nice to people.

After binge-watching this three times, I have it all by heart, and I especially loved it because it was my first Chinese drama and I’m glad you loved it too!

Yes, plus DFQC believed in Tai Sui because he thought that Tai Sui could save both XLH and the soldiers, and Tai Sui betrayed him. If he hadn’t been possessed he could have still saved XLH in time.

It also took me three times to understand this as well, they could have delivered it better.

Can someone please explain to me. I'm little confused around eps 30-31. So DFQC lie to XLH so she can hate him…
He did lie to her to remove the bracelet safely, and he also really trusted his brother because she was still regarded as the queen, but his brother took DFQC seriously when he said that he was going to kill her. He thought he had been given consent, so he started acting on his own. DFQC didn't care to check on her since he was busy preparing for the war. Xunfeng also managed to convince XLH into deep guilt so as to kill herself, so he couldn't take the entire blame himself because she did suicide. Hope this helps!

I almost forgot that the rabbit shaped apple was also in Moonlight. I screamed when I saw it here.
I know right! I was reading the manhua side by side along watching Moonlight, and the rabbit apples came at the same time unexpectedly! Is it really a coincidence??

I hope we will get some good kiss scenes here too just like in Moonlight.
Yeah, Moonlight had a lot of great kisses, I hope we can expect the same here!
