They both are basically by the same writer, and the layout of the realms and roles are much similar to those in LBFAD, but the plot is much different. Unlike focusing on the differences between the leads, it’s how the leads have to go through seven different lives in the human world.
LBFAD was originally my all time favorite drama, nothing could ever overcome my love for LBFAD until I watched this drama. I highly recommend it to you, this is one of my most loved dramas ever

This is the first part of three, Love in Pavilion, Red Moon Pact and Sword and Beloved. So yes, you can watch it as a stand alone. Red Moon Pact was unbearable according to the many people I know ho have watched it, and Sword and Beloved is about the son of the leads here
