Does anyone know why the original FL failed to return? I’m almost finished with season 1 and I’m very impressed with the actress playing Museok. Everyone seems to be enjoying the new FL, so I’m hoping the transition is an easy one for me too.

I have to post an unpopular opinion. I’m not impressed with the acting or the story. The production seems to be made on the cheap. After hearing that the director’s version was edited without her knowledge or consent, that probably goes a long way to explaining why it feels so disjointed and uneven. It never made sense why Yumi married when she wasn’t interested in marriage at all and she obviously had zero feelings for the man. Yet again, she showed no fear about being discovered when presenting her fake parents, her fake education and fake life history.
I won’t be watching the extended version, however, mostly because I find the story quite depressing. Suzy has 3 expressions in this-bored, bland, and basic.
Someone mentioned this story isn’t for everyone and I agree. There’s zero to enjoy and it’s certainly not a psychological thriller it was advertised to be.

I agree. Yumi walked away with Hyunjoo’s passport, didn’t she? And never looked over her shoulder once. Suddenly, she’s thrust into the public eye due to her husband’s ambition and doesn’t seem concerned about being found out.

I can’t with her expressions. The pursed and pouty lips and the exaggerated facial expressions. While Hwarang wasn’t a smash hit, it had a great cast and she completely ruined it for me as the FL.
She’s starring with Kim Seon-Ho in his return to acting and I’m worried she’ll overact and be a distraction.
