Talk about a shallow cultivation drama....
This drama started really strong, but as soon as he left the first master who took him in, the whole drama rapidly became bland.As someone who is a real fan of cultivation drama, this drama was quite a disappointment to me.
There was close to no emotional attachment to any othe the characters. Actually, even the emotional attachment between the characters in the story was almost completely absent.
The story is inconsistent, there are many plot holes and things are happening out of the blue.
Although I like ML actor, his character in this drama, was not that appealing. I get that despite the fact that he didn't have a spiritual root, he manages to surpass many of his sect members, but his personality was not your typical righteousness, loyal and pure heart you would have expected in a drama where the goal of ML is immortality through cultivation.
It blows my mind when at first the presented the spiritual foundation pill as a highly rare thing, and then it became like candy for who ever wants some.
Most of these so-called seniors, master and grand master cultivators where hypocritical, selfish and greedy.
Don't get me started on those so-called romance/no-romance between ML and all these females. What exactly was the writers trying to achieve?
I rolled my eyes so much at that scene between ML and Nangong Wan, where they supposedly had s*x. What a disrespect to the viewers.
Dont get me started with the last episode. ML accidentally losses almost all his spiritual power to Nangong, the she lie to him telling ML that she's Nangong's cousin..... they then separate again. Their interactions stops at these two events.
Funny part, is that at the end of the last episode, they say it was " season 1 " , when I saw that, I said; "Nop, i don't need a season 2". Lol
Get these actors better stories for their next drama. lol

REFRESHING, WELL WRITTEN
This drama series has been exceptionally well-crafted, devoid of contrived misunderstandings. The protagonists exhibit remarkable maturity and effective communication skills, making for a highly engaging viewing experience.So far, 20 episodes have been aired. Can't wait for the remaining episodes. 😁

Dull, Teenager drama
Teenager love story in high school
I really wanted to like this, but it was just a mehhhh for me. Nothing special.
It's not bad, It's ok to past time. But you dont real-life get anything from it.
The main good thing about this drama is the friendship between them that lasted until the end.
High-school life until ep17....
Episodes 17 and 18 main plots are lazy writing misunderstandings. Relationships starts at ep 20
First kiss at the end of ep20
Then romance is just ok....
Storyline started good, but then turned into daily High-school life.
I appreciated that there was no irrational love triangle.
We all know that they will get married at the end.... wedding night was a disappointment.... FL talking about marriage life agreement......
You can watch it if you like High-school stories, youll like it.🙂

Pretty good for a short drama.
I love the fact that their marital life was realistic. It was a good development.I really like the fact that FL wasn't the typical woman/child we see in so many drama...
The story is not perfect, but when we compare this short drama with short drama from the same category, we can appreciate the storyline, and developing of the storytelling.

Euhhhh...
Nice movie, but too many loopholes. Many scenes are missing. Her illness came out of nowhere. The double proposal was too weird for me....This movie could have easily got a 8-9 and even 10 stars if it was 2h-2,30h long or short drama.
Xu Kai did an amazing acting job. Almost feels like the character was designed for him. I like all of Xu Kai drama, but this rôle was made for him. Excellent work.
It still worth watching. The production team did with the material that was given to them.

I'm currently at episode 16.I will probably update my review later on.
In the past year, the dramavor in me have been somewhat, finding cdrama story to repetitive.
This drama started strong and captivated my attention. But at episode 12, when they started with the scheming cousin and then came the scheming lady Luo, I find myself wanting to drop the drama.
The scheming of these 2 were too obvious that it annoyed me so much to see FL and ML being so easily manipulated by them. So many coincidence but no one is really looking into them... (Fortunately, ML's cousin seems to have awaken later on)
Also, unfortunately, although it started with a FL that i could like, the more the drama is evolving, the less I like her. She's always scheming and liying to ML, but dont understand why ML doesn't trust.
Only with the grudges of the previous generations, ML has all the reasons to be weary of anyone from her clan... but still, she keeps going against ML's plans. Also, her facial expressions don't change much....
I'm not saying that ML is perfect, but his attitude is way more understandable than FL.
I can get past many things that I don't like in any drama if the characters are not du.mb when the occupy strong power positions.
Well, we'll see how it evolves.... I think it should pick up good in a few episodes. As we all know, cdrama writers do need to add "unnecessary plots episodes ", in order to drag the whole drama to the link that was in their contract.... haha

Well....
Started nice and then became boring.I feel like this drama was supposed to be more than 36 episodes but for some reasons that we don't know, the cut many scenes to make it to 26 episodes.
Many things happen that we don't understand how it got there.
The actors did what they could with the script they were given.
This drama is watchable, but there is absolutely NO EXCITEMENT..
The ending was quite blant and kind of : " huh, what just happened, how did he...."
Anyway, if you don't have anything else to watch, you can give it a try.

Nice premise, poor development
Started promising, but I just can't get past the fact that although it's a sorth drama of 14 episodes, they still dragged it out using boring and cliché quarrels.It's a really slow slow burning love...
