True, I partly agree with you. But YY didn't try to understand YD either. He didn't trust her enough to explain the situation to her. "Just to protect her" is not a good reason. It's not like YD can read someone's mind. Also, ZhiXi and YingDeng made the misunderstanding even worse. So, in my opinion, blaming just one side and expecting them to understand the other person, who is not willing to open up, is bit unfair. In part 2, they both have to realize it and take a step forward.

Asura king's story is just a backstory of YY's parents. I think it will only take about 2-5 episodes (at least I hope..). Ying Yuan and Yan Dan will still be the main leads and they will appear in the part 2.

Sadly, fate wouldn't allow her to always remain carefree from any worries. I'm sure she will find her happiness by the end of this series. Until then, I feel like this development is necessary. YY and YD both sacrificed for each other yet they never really completely understood each other's feelings. YD may have seen YY's perspective but YY's character also needs development. So I think her coldness may become an important factor for his change.
I mean it's not only YD who will become serious. We won't be seeing playful TZ either. Hopefully, they both will find their peace.

In episode 15, she desperately wanted an answer from YY and after getting a little hope that YY may also love her back, she looked so happy. Now in episode 38, she is finally ready to let go after getting all the answer she wanted. Some people may think that she is still blaming YY. But in my opinion, she is respecting YY's choice and most importantly she is starting to respect herself. She is no longer trying to forget everything - she is no longer trying to run away. Even after regaining her memories, she is still willing to save him. Her character is amazing. YD saw YY's perspective now it's YY's turn to understand YD's feelings.
YanDan is honestly one of the best FLs I have ever seen. By the end of part 2, she may even become my favourite. Although it's little sad that carefree and playful YD is gone, I'm loving this development. Can't wait for part 2!
I previously thought the heavenly emperor had feelings for RQ and thus hated XY. After watching the trailer, I got feeling that Ran Qing may be he's daughter (Edit: I thought in completely different direction and it was wrong βπ). Yes, he is strict to YY but we can't deny he indulges him a lot. There is a possibility that he was trying to prevent YY from becoming like XY who because of love became too obsessed (at least based on the trailer).
Although I do think that Xuan Ye and Ran Qing's story is intriguing (not to mention he's sooo handsome like how is it possible!? π₯π³), I kinda hope their storyline won't get dragged for long... If part 2 really has just 21 episodes, I will still choose to see YY/TZ and YD over them. We deserve proper ending for YY and YD's story and few episode of them just being happy together (even better if Gou Dan is with them~)

Someone in the comments explained that "flipping the turtle"(in Chinese: ηΏ»ιΎ/fΔn guΔ«) is a homonym for "to break the rules" (in Chinese: η―θ§/fΓ nguΔ«).
