I feel like other arcs that were repetitive couldn’t been shorter and they should’ve focused on them after the fall of the Yang family rather than making him leave straight away then time skip. Either that or 40 eps

I didn’t know they had issues with the child actors but after fuhui gave birth they didn’t show her kid until the end wouldn’t been nice to see some domesticity earlier

5th couple deserved more episodes I feel like it wasn’t resolved that well :/ they were defo my favs by the end tho. Also they should’ve showed us everyone’s kids

yes exactly the women are like this because in that society you need a man to survive. Ofc they’re gonna go to that length to find a decent guy. the ml is just angry and being petty for his own ego. but for a woman if she marries badly her life is ruined. It makes sense she’ll scheme. MDL commenters are tripping trying to justify the mls actions loool😭😭 . Nobody is saying we want a ml with 0 flaws but something can’t be fixed.

If he likes her he should make himself a better match so she’ll choose him or get his mom to change his mind so she doesn’t get in the way not be petty and ruin her chances. Instead of focusing on others he should focus on himself

I feel the writing of the characters is lazy for the men they’re cheaters, cowards, arrogant and just overall unlikeable. I seen someone compare to xiangliu from lyf from what I remember the reason people grew to like him was bc you can tell he had a troubled past and his character was complex that doesn’t take away from his wrong actions but you can understand him to a extent. For PM the mls are just spoilt.. and it comes across as lazy writing. I don’t think the women are perfect but considering they were women in that time their reactions make more sense to me.
