I’m even more frustrated with the leads. The female lead defies her father, ignores her family, and only thinks about love, which feels so unrealistic for that era. I’m totally Team Myeong; he deserved more depth and better treatment in the story.
I also hated how Myeong’s master and friend turned against him without even trying to understand his side. They judged him immediately for joining Prince Suyang, without realizing why he made that choice. It all started when he overheard Suyang’s father threatening his own father - that moment clearly affected him deeply. His decision wasn’t simple betrayal; it came from fear, loyalty, and pressure. I wish the story had explored that more instead of making him look like just another antagonist.
