WHY???? I can’t with the wig!!! It’s so distracting!! Normally Frank is adorbs, and very talented! I enjoy seeing him articulate the character. But I keep finding myself waiting for the wig to say its lines… serve as comic relief or exit the scene… SOMETHING!!! It’s just busted for the sake of being busted…no point!
This series is by far my favorite supernatural C Drama!!! Sets, music, costumes, and cinematography a feast for all of my senses! Chefs kiss!! Can’t wait for the next season, see you all there!
I think 7.8 is totally harsh. There was way too much originality to call this mediocre. I laughed every episode and I believed Noeys sincerity toward Thi. I watched it twice and I will watch it again!

You should def watch it. I usually only watch romance films but this one had me interested right away. The acting is great and I agree with others that say the chemistry was good between the leads. We are dealing with two people with a lot of mental scars. Reluctance is expected. The actors articulate it well (even if it’s frustrating lol).
I finally watched the trailer. I would say this reminds me of “Addicted” because there are similarities in events. But I think it goes a little too far to call this a remake ( to be fair, a lot of the official material does not make the association ). However, completely divorcing it from Chai Ji Dan’s original work would make fans come after them. LOL
I agree with fans that say this isn’t Addicted (Heroine). It’s more like if Chi Ji Dan woke up in an alternate universe, feeling some type away. Decided to throw her genius on its head and write for the masses. I’ve read many of her novels several times, so I definitely see her in this. I’m going to watch this as a separate body of work with her in mind. I think it’ll be fun to see the events that followed after the series was prematurely cut off. I’m going to watch it with an open heart. I truly hope this does her justice.
I found the shooting style a bit dizzying. Had some pacing and editing issues. However, I absolutely loved the clarity of their dominate emotions (at any given time there were always many). Even though both characters were experiencing confusion about their new found emotions, I truly understood that love was the motivation. Even when they were torturing themselves, IT WAS ALL THERE!! Overall this was well done, especially the acting. I don’t think I’ve ever seen BL’s with this much intimacy without actually performing the intimacy ( just watch their body language in the private scenes when they are not kissing ( even though those were a treat as well lol)). I will watch it several more times.
The male actor Ren Jia Lun is married and has no kisses clause in like all his dramas. Lack of intimacy is expected…

The entertainment industry needs to be pressured into placing more emphasis on physical and mental health. The kids being pushed through this rigorous Idol pipeline undergo a tremendous amount of stress. Lord please give he and his family justice and peace.
