You have such a lack of self-awareness, lol. You're the person up and down the comments section every day repeating where this drama went wrong & the FL is a cheater. If anyone feels differently, you are back here on repeat again, trying to bash it into their heads.
I heard you the first time, the third time and the the tenth time. The more you say it, the more off putting you are, and more people are unlikely to come round to your thinking.

"You have finally proved you are not here for romance so any Futher arguments with you on the romance Arc is a waste of time... You might not be here for romance but that doesn't mean others aren't here for romance.."
I didn't say I wasn't here for romance, I said "some" people? I'm actually here for romance and a good story?
You are taking the storyline way too emotionally and to this extreme. There is no problem with yourself interpreting the story that way. What is the issue, is you coming here and trying to brow-beat people into thinking your way.

Your comments are shocking. In those scenes you have interpreted her under duress as being unfaithful because you are busy counting the minutes on when she actually stabs SML - and that is how you determined she actually liked the SML not in a friendship way?
So what if there was 3 bows? Again, that is also your interpretation of her being disloyal to the ML?
BTW for others to know, by this point the SML is no long the old NXY character but into the next incarnation, and you are thinking her character would treat and react to him as NXY?
You are not even following the story properly. She is reacting exactly as expected, since he is not a reasonable being, and very dangerous character at this stage.

Don't people everyone. There are quite a few of us that don't feel the same way as you. I wrote what I wrote originally about the drama adaptation vs the book and personally, I don't think the screen writers are all at fault. I think the book was substandard.
If you read the book, then you will see the author was already fond and favourable towards NXY's character. I feel the adaptation tried to stay as close to the original source material, but had to flesh out some parts and they did pretty well.
I don't think there was a CP with the SML. It was more like a familial or twin bond. Unlike you, I don't think she cheated, and neither do some of us.

If that's how you feel, and interpreted the story, I'm not here to convince you. There was more than enough scenes of the main CP and skin-ship in the beginning two thirds of the way, and there was no complaints then. So, if they can't convince you with their CP, then that's your issue. I was convinced in them.
While I do think MXL set straight boundaries with NYX from the beginning and I didn't doubt her love for XXC.…
The SML in this drama is different to TSL. The one in TSL is the more your usual 3ML who goes after the FL. Here, his story is more complex, it ties in with her origins.
If they went with the book, MXL was closer to NXY from the beginning, and they hung out together. NXY was besties with FLS, while he only met XXC once. They were just acquaintances. When NXY sacrifices, she was heart broken and was crying for him. If they went with the book, there would be even more uproar judging from the reaction of the tamed down version.
The adaptation did a better job of dampening down the emotional link between MXL & NXY. However, I feel they could have thinned out the flashback and middle sections down and had more foreshadowing scenes, as the last 5 episodes felt like they were cramming too much in.
There is nothing wrong with people having different views from the drama or plot. But, what we are getting are strange people coming here with emotional outbursts, attacking the FL, calling her a cheater, and they've not even watched the drama either.
Looks like female characters are only allowed to interact with male leads, or they'll be accused of cheating and/or…
"Unnecessary quality time" I think you are not watching the drama. FL had a core role apart from falling in love with the ML. She had a duty. I like how you just casually say "... many people?" Speak for yourself.
She set a boundary early on in this drama, but you casually ignored that. Your full comment is quite worrying and reminds me how some extreme violence towards women around the world happens, just by the mindset that if a woman is looking at some passer-by for a bit too long, they think she's disloyal or "cheating".
Also, spare us the weaponizing women with the equality argument. This story is not a cookie cutter drama where the SML is just a tool to chase the FL. This story is more nuanced, in that he has a back story which is more than romance. FL has made it very clear she only loves the ML. If you can't see that, so be it.
censorship, no more than 40 episodes for a drama or you must have two seasons with a big gap (one year if it has…
In order to avoid this 1 year gap, I have been told, a change of drama name is a way to get around the 1 year gap. Being news that there is another title name might mean, the second part will come sooner.
I understand what you are saying and have to agree. I feel like I have seen this same drama many times except…
Very interesting read. So far, I am liking the mix of realism with a bit of classic story telling to push the narrative of restrictions and choice where given.
I would say the FL has the upper hand over Liu Chang in terms of choice. Some through sheer good luck (being saved) and others by being balanced and knowing when to lower herself to get by, and of course her ability to plan herself out of trouble (knowledge of plants to poison & save). I will overlook her dodging the arrows, and the sacrifice the mute girl did in order to make us know this would be making her more stronger and more motivated to fight injustice.
Liu Chang on the other hand is not as smart in getting out of his issues, which may change later, but I suspect, being the SML will need to go through a few more mishaps until a possible change, we'll see...
BTW, I'm glad they have cleared up a bit on the floral front. I note they mentioned adding more plants to prolong their interest and to branch out, which now makes sense. Peonies was her driving force, but beyond that, she is using all her knowledge in gardening and medicinal practices to gain in her business. No doubt, it may tie in with the Liu family...

No spoiling at all. I am on episode 23 so will see what happens beyond this point. Some dramas try to straddle between historical to a mishmash of the modern take on history. Story of Minglan is one example. Tackling class structure and turning it on its head is a classic one. Female empowerment is usually through being a merchant or catching the eye of a general etc and then rise up the class system. Realistically, there are not many other ways other than be a super fighter amongst the Jianghu route.
Problem with borderline idol dramas are, they cannot be too realistic and accurate with ancient dramas. Because it will be at odds with the main characters. The direction is either full-on historical with no sugar coating storylines, or ones we are watching now, which tries to mesh a bit of both.
I'm still in two minds on if they work. I personally feel there is way too many palace dramas with the usual politics and would like writers to write more about commoners of Tang dynasty instead.
I understand what you are saying and have to agree. I feel like I have seen this same drama many times except…
Don't worry, I'm not expecting too much of realism here😉. Tang Dynasty re-told for the modern audience is far more appealing. You are right, I have just seen episode 22 and sure enough ML rescues her.
I was hoping less of that, but I guess, it's hard to sell realism in today's modern audience if it's about female empowerment. The reality might be too hard to stomach and plus the FL may not survive if not for some dramatic plots along the way! Have a nice day...
I understand what you are saying and have to agree. I feel like I have seen this same drama many times except…
Yes, the format and general story line is to some extent been done before. The difference here, is the FL is not relying on the classic high ranking person to save her at every turn, which is more realistic and better to see.
As for the flowers, I was wondering what her shop would look like during the winter months. Since all herbaceous and woody plants would die down, she would have a shop looking sparse for 8-9 months of the year. Also, many of these plants need to be outdoors to work well instead of being kept indoors...

Platinum Fox answered all the points and I totally agree with those comments. The SFL is the one to be aware of. I suspect, even without watching all the episodes yet, he's someone caught up in the sign of the times. He has issues, but they are brought on by his upbringing and restricted life.
The adult audience comment was meant to be my way of saying it's aimed for those that think a bit more about the depth of the characters, their relationship and how they are not just black and white but normally morally grey and complex characters.
I never thought I would hate a character played by Miles .When he was married to FML he wanted his first love…
These characters are the new style reverse harem. In The Double, they also had a similar scenario in the FL's husband & in The Scent of Time with FL's husband. I guess, it's more geared towards the more adult audience where lines are blurred. Heinous characters are misunderstood because of the social surroundings pushing them to do certain things.
But yes, in a nutshell, he's just an alcoholic with passive aggressive tendencies and he genuinely thinks he's upright when in reality, he's just after control (something he cannot get due to his weakness to fight it), and that includes his relationships.

Watch 'Imperfect Victim' a Chinese drama. You might learn a thing or two about other women's lives, and about anti women people like yourselves.
