Title Reply 1988
How was 1994? Many say it was the weakest, but I love both 1988 and 1997 (1988 being my favorite) so much I am…
Honestly, 1994 was pretty trash compared to the other two. It was a huge let down for me. Without spoiling it for you, 1994 has some plot twists that aren't necessarily for the viewers' enjoyment. I'd say the story of 1994 is like a solid 7.5/10 compared to 1988's 10/10, since the premise of 1994 is centered on Romance and "coming-of-age." Still, I think it's a worthwhile watch, if you've already watched the two other Reply Series. Just don't have high expectations haha.

After completing the series, I can definitely say that Jang Na Ra played her character beautifully. Her acting was superb and nowhere in the series, did I question her acting. Her, along with Jang Ki Yong did a great job in portraying their characters. Without leaving spoilers, this series deserves a solid 9/10 from me (the only other kdrama that beats it is, Reply 1988). Also, make sure to : LOVE YA DAMN MOMMAS.

Just finished this show, and the previous two series as well. I can confidently say that this was the most emotionally meaningful one out of the three--although I will concede that I still favor 1997 a tad more. As someone who's equally as stoic and altruistic as Bo Ra, her character resonated with me the most. The subtle sentiments (as an effort to refrain from spoiling the series, I'll keep it at that!) that her and Dong II showed their love for each other, really hit home for me. Outside of her character, everyone else's was really enjoyable. I will concede that, I was rooting for [X] and [Y] to get together towards the end, but the ending that was providing was still thoroughly enjoyable and has left an impact.

Easy 10/10 and would recommend--though I'd recommend watching in the order the series was aired (1997>1994>1988)!

Grew up watching this, so I might be biased in commenting on this drama, but I'd say it's a drama that's worth watching at least once--if you're just starting out on a "kdrama-watching-phase." Aside from the OST and Ji Sung's role in this, I don't think the drama really stands out or is memorable, compared to the hundreds of other comparable romantic kdramas out there now. I'd give it a solid 5/7.
