Overall the drama revolves around a working mom restarting to work at a high position, facing obstacles through her journey as a mom, as a woman and as a worker.
It could’ve been really interesting, but I didn’t like how it was done, it missed the part for me. Since it was focused on a working mom, I thought it would be more thought-provoking on this aspect of Japan. There were too many obstacles for this show to be enjoyable.
I feel pretty wronged here. It's a frustrating show : I couldn't care less about the stupid nanny plot (that was dragged way too long), was frustrated with the sexist setting (at home & at work, that was a bit too much too), frustrated that Matsuda Ryuhei is credited as a main role while he appeared as much as the husband or the nanny, the colleagues are a bit dumb (they’re here because they’re skilled, apparently) and annoying.
I expected the husband to be a bit more immature regarding his actions, I’ve to give him credit. But she still stays with him. The husband blamed her for being a workaholic, but when they met, he knew how she was. Maybe he thought she would change after giving birth, but it’s not like she hid this side of her. He just doesn't know her that well.
I understand the will of not wanting to break up the family for her son’s sake. But I couldn’t really see love between the couple, it was all for the child (I may be wrong though, but in many j-dramas when the couple starts to have children, it’s like the couple no longer exists, swiped away by the almighty children). I won’t write a lot about the most infuriating thing which is the fact that the mother has to raise the son quite alone. She does most of the chores, and especially for their son. And no one even suggested the husband to resign to take care of his child, while it was suggested to Kira twice or thrice.
And why, I mean, WHY can’t she be with Takagi ?! They’re perfect together, and they helped each other to grow up.
It was said before is was adapted from a Chinese drama. A disclaimer was put before every episode. The story is well-made and the actors are extremely good. It's hard to find a good drama for me these days, and it seems those people just want to see cheesy romcoms with idols and no plot. Really frustrated with those stupid decisions. And now, I pity the actors and the crew, who did nothing except working to their best for this drama. It's tough being a public figure in Asia. No wonder a lot of them are too-faced.
A bit too slow for me, but pleasant nonetheless. It looked like a "gratitude journal" movie. It makes me want to enjoy more of the present and the simple things of daily life.
Well, I just realized it's getting an anime movie adaptation, so I went to check it out and apparently she got…
I don't really agree. I was meaning when movies are from the melodramatic genre and have the "melodrama" tag. This one also has it. From the Korean movies I've seen, I don't think it's that realistic, it's often overly heavy (for exemple there are "The Classic", or "Daisy" or "Temptation of Wolves"). Overall, Japanese are a bit better at that, it's more raw and genuine, in my opinion.

I have no idea how to rate this one.
Sorry for the rant.
