I started to watch asian dramas because I went to Japan two years ago, and I was so impressed by this culture that I started to watch everything in Japanese, from reading manga to watch animes, live action films and after that dramas. Then, around a year later, I watched my first k-drama, Goblin, and I learned so many important things watching it that I couldn't stop watching j/k-dramas looking for another drama as good as this one.
