Exactly thissssss. Now i understand that LITC had more tension and passionate kiss scenes but it fit with the whole story. I mean the both of them were cunning, flirtatious and used each other to get what they wanted. It was great! Still love it, but this drama was more on what I would call (for lack of word) “mature” relationship. It was more of action and their gazes that made me feel their love for each other. Like the way he was willing to protect her even when he was controlled, and learn to cook for her? Their love wasn’t passionate but it transcended time. In every lifetime they chose each other, willingly. This drama has my heart ♥️ I truly hope people give this drama a try. The ending is open ended but with the little subtle hints/changes, I’ve come to see a new ending that I’ll be (as) content with.

Exactly. I was so heartbroken about the ending and about how much the both of them have suffered, I had such a hard time going to sleep. They could’ve done it where she studied and studied and found a way to bring him back but also get rid of the khunlun mirror. Like cmon. The beginning was nice, then dragged during the mist arc, then got great as their love progressed, then all started going downhill when the characters started dying one by one.. like WHY DO YOU GUYS WANT TO TORTURE US VIEWERS SO MUCH?!?!?!?! I’m lowkey pissed for XiaoYe 😫😭😭💔💔💔💔💔😤

This drama absolutely broke my heart. Last drama I watched was last year and it was Fang of Fortune with my Neo and Duling. That in itself TORE MY HEART AND EYES out. And now I get this? Like seriously.

He had repaid all that he had done in his first life. But because he was the cause of the spring and mirror, he had to seal himself with it so no one else could get it anymore? Like sure I get that whole concept. But there’s no way to get this man BACK TO HIS WIFE! Like the both of them have suffered ENOUGH. How many more times do they need to save the world by sacrificing themselves? 😭💔

Is it possible Xiao Yao is the heavenly mother? When they were doing the research, they said the heavenly mother went back and was basically never seen again. No one knows where she went(fast forward to the ending where she stayed there forever). Is my mind playing tricks on me to compensate for my broken heart? Lol The part we see where she tells XM to help set the time array for her, was the start of the heavenly mother’s story. Then it goes to the story about how the Heavenly mother went back to go get her primordial? I may be reaching but damn this drama done broke me. Stayed up till almost 4AM on a work night to finish it and now I’m working with a broken heart at this drama just trying to find a happy ending

So I think I understand what happened… but I’m not entirely sure. It’s been 3 years since Hongye sealed himself with the mirror so she learns how to go back using the time loop but this time it can take her back to anytime she wants to, which at the end is when she enters the hut to find him. Does she plan to change things or just relive those days? It said everything started anew. So meaning we don’t know if how the story progressed, will happen again? I’m a little confused, like is she trying to rewrite the story? And if so, can it even be rewritten with no complications?

But how I wish Bingzhu should’ve f’ing died. The way his character just changed for the worse really annoys me. And I find it so weird that his sister now lives inside of Pianpians body? Like he had a thing for her, and now his sister is in the body he used to like? Does anyone find this just absolutely weird?

I also did too! A lot of comments I’ve seen talk about how XiaoYao acts too childish, but in my eyes it was more of a cunning girl who was trying to survive and get out of the demon valley. I actually find her pretty hilarious and she acts so well. This is my first drama of hers so I was pleasantly surprised. I lived for their sparse moments while in the mist arc and the little bracelet spirit of his ❤️ that arc really showed you how much she just wanted him back and how much he loves her.

I know I’m asking a lot from you and everyone else who questions the same thing, but at least watch till ep20. Personally the mist arc is longer than I’d like it to be and it dragged too, but I do find that it laid some ground for what one of the theme of this drama is about. The story definitely gets so much better. If you get to ep20 and it’s not your thing, then I would say you definitely gave it a fair shot. It’s also ending this week so that’s a plus right? Hehe

I think he doesn’t have a “real form” because he’s human. We’re gonna learn more as the story goes on but from what I’ve seen and know, Hongye was human 10000 yrs ago when he met XiaoYao as the dragon lord. Something had to have happened and I think XiaoYao made Hongye into the demon lord to look after all demons. This is just my speculation. But I don’t think he has a form. If he does, that would be awesome to see.

Absolutely. Seems like our XiaoYao was the past dragon lord. Hongye must’ve tricked XiaoYao along with the 3 demon lords, maybe for the khunlun mirror? Then from what I can piece from the trailers, seems like XiaoYao killed Hongye and probably made him the demon king and lose his memories in order to learn a lesson? (That maybe not all demons are bad like he thinks… since he was human) just my thought. Sigh, I love the story progressing but I now watch with a very heavy heart with everything unfolding lol. Like damn, it’s one thing after another now. Bingzhu and Pianpian, Hongye and Xiaoyaos story 10000 yrs ago and the heartache it’s gonna bring to us and to the both of them once she learns of it, and how they’re probably gonna go after and hurt Xiaoyao just because all four demon lords listen to her 💔😭 I don’t know if I can mentally handle all of this hurt and stress. I just want my XiaoYe safe!!!!!!!

Like you said, before going back to the palace when they had the talk, she already asked what if she’s not the same her or what if she’s not Princess Ning’An, and my boy told her it doesn’t matter who she is or what her name is. He will always find her and love her 😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️ AND in the trailer when she comes back, we see that he has teary eyes. Also remember how he didn’t want to send her to the time array and Xiao Ming/Mi said are you afraid of her knowing the truth? Our Hongye must’ve realized it was her but it wasn’t Ning’An this time since she wasn’t a princess but it didn’t matter to her cause in every lifetime he finds her, he will always choose her and only her *cries! I love them so much! I’m lowkey scared to watch the next ep cause we know what’s coming but my heart can’t take it! Literally it’s stressing me out how conniving the guards and king are. My poor XiaoYe😭😭😭💔💔💔 but at least she’ll know truly happened and be able to explain to Hongye when she goes back to him 🙏

Definitely makes me want confirmation on whether Hongye knew it was XiaoYao all this time 100 years ago. But then, makes me wonder about the confession where he tells her he likes her because she’s XiaoYao and not Ning’An… what do you think about that?

There’s a lot of speculation about who she is during her first life… she’s either the dragon, or the demon lord. But right now it seems that for this second life as Ning’An, I think it was Xiao Yao who went to the past. Still not sure but I think the NingAn that Hongye met 100 yrs ago was indeed Xiaoyao who went back in time. Again I hope they cover this info cause I’m still confused lol but yes! I’m super stoked to watch the new eps tonight! Just a couple more hours!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’m ready to cry and laugh!

Yes! The story definitely gets going from ep 20 and onwards! I know it’s a slow beginning, but I truly love this drama so far. I think the whole mist illusion arc sets one of the main theme in this drama, which is the greed of humans. It took a long while (had to watch it x2 speed lol) but the story truly does get better after ep 20. I wish some viewers would watch it but I totally understand why some dropped this. Their relationship dynamic is different than what some want, and that’s okay too. All I can say is, after ep20, I’ve been crying and laughing up till the newest ep lol

Why do I lowkey suspect a sad ending?… there seems to be more issues at hand than what we know so far. I feel like this is gonna be similar to Ashes of Love iyk what I mean 😭😭😭😫😫😫😫😫 my brain is just thinking about everything and how it could be played out… but from what I know, it’s just suspicious as heck to how they’re gonna deal with thissssssss. And my Hongye, he’s been living with this repentance mindset since 100 years ago and I just have a baddddddd feeling 😭 I’m praying I’m SO WRONG

This would be such a PLOT TWIST! I was thinking she could be the heavenly mother, one of the 4 celestial beasts, but didn’t register what she could be when she has white hair! If it’s true it would MAKE SENSE cause in the preview it seems like the 3 demon lords know her. And the whole point of her being half human and half demon 😫😫😫👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ I’m so excited to know more! Can’t wait for tonight’s eps!

Omg, what if, WHAT IF XiaoYao is the dragon?! And the 4 of them were all together?!

So true!!! In the beginning I wanted a full on kiss, but after witnessing their kind of love, I’ve come to realize this probably fits better. The both of them aren’t afraid to express or show the love one another. They can still make me blush, giggle and kick my feet with joy without the passionate kisses ❤️❤️❤️

Seriously, the eps that’s been out for the past 3 days have put me in this laugh then cry then laugh then cry again mode. XiaoYe’s relationship progression we get to see, has just been so sweet and heartwarming. You could tell they are willing to do anything for each other. My Xiaoyao has matured so much and I’m so glad she uses her brain and is always so thoughtful about how she goes about certain things.

My Hongye, this character I’m just loving more and more. Hongye in the present is much more mellow than his past self from tonight’s eps. I love the slow burn, they do it well and I love how they show they care and love each other from gestures to their gaze. He has so much to his story I feel, and the future eps seem like it’s going to dive into that so I’m super stoked to see how he was.

Our sweet treasure grampie… he was the cutest. Knowing why they were there but tested them out. He even made Hongye confess his true feelings. I cried cause it felt like he was Xiaoyaos dad, looking after his daughter. And the matching blue outfits? BEAUTIFUL. They both look so damn good in that color and their moments together has just gotten so much better as time goes on!

Now, for the 3 demon lords, I’m SO EXCITED to see exactly who they are and what in the world happened. It seems like it was implied that Hongye had something to do with them being sealed for 10 thousand years. I have to say, the white snake/dragon is cute and so funny how he made his entrance. I’m intrigued lol. I have a feeling they were with Xiaoyao years ago.

Ep 26 though, made me laugh, feel the love and all giddy with butterflies in my stomach. No wonder Hongye fell for Ning’an aka XiaoYao. She truly knows him(although he doesn’t know she already knows him) and she has such a warm and pure heart. Even her character has made me fall in love with her. She’s so funny and such a strong character. The scene where they talk on top of the rooftop has me shedding tears and feeling some kind of feeling that just hurts from within. I’m super emotional so maybe that’s why the past couple eps has me crying and shedding tears, but I think just knowing how much they’ve been through, how Hongye lost his powers and feeling depressed, how she’s willing to go back and get/find his primordial for him, like just everything is just 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻❤️❤️❤️ god, I love this series already and I love my XiaoYe. I can’t wait to see their story and truly find out what in the world actually happened between them. I feel it’s gonna be LOTS of tears and “WHY?!?!?!” Moments but until we get there. To those who have reached this end, thanks for reading. To those who decided to drop it because of whatever reason, please give this a try. I find that it truly picks up at ep 20. If by then, you’re still not convinced, then thank you anyway for trying to watch. Anyways, can’t wait for tomorrow’s eps!
