for me this series is different. she isn't so smart in this series. she is skilled, andeducated. but educated and skilled doesn't equate to intelligence or being smart.
with the mistakes she's made, I don't see her aß smart at all. I see her as being ambitious but naive. a dreamer but careless. focused but without prioritizing.
I guess that makes a hopeful series because there is much room for character development.
