they should have given FL a dog instead of a brother...

up to 27, disappointed FL is still failing due to other people's mistakes.

I get the low ratings. because people got away with their schemes and did not get punished. yeh, that will never fly in dramaland. the writer was too soft on the offenders.

it started off well.
dragged for a long time
the. when I thought we were getting somewhere they added new problems but haven't fixed any of the others.
then there were a lot of unnecessary characters and issues
this is when I started fast forwarding.

this series should have been 26 episodes...too much fluff

all of that bing said ...it wasn't bad but it definitely could have been better.

Preferring sons over daughters is a value issue . Everyone's values will not be the same even in the same cultural climate. All Chinese parents wont have the same values. Every Chinese person doesn't follow traditionalism, some step out of the box. This would not be considered your traditional Chinese household, they follow a more modern culture. (I'm not Chinese...lol)

Our female lead has always been super cute but she really has matured into a beautiful woman.

Less mom and the show has already gotten better. I hope it remains like this - with less mom... Fl's mom is annoying - she is like screeching nails on a chalk board

after mom the next annoying character is the brother. I never liked the younger brother falling for sisters BFf. and now God sister... She's been married, had a child and working on improving her life. He has nothing to bring to the table. We can already see she only sees him as a little brother. So it's annoying to see him believe he has a chance.

what makes the moms actions worse is that they are totally against her daughters character. her daughter wants to stand on her own but mommy dearest is attempting to force her to lean on others which would ruin her

I came to comment... FL's mom is detestable , disgusting, and an overall terrible mother. her character is ruining the whole show for me. every time she opens her mouth I get frustrated... 😂

I absolutely thought that she would apart ways with him. Lol, I was a little conflicted because if she did it would be understandable. but she is looking at the big picture. he serves a purpose for her long term plan and her heart.

commenters are wondering why the score is so low? I wasn't surprised. although, so far it's a good drama - the same tropes being repeated are tiring. FL's mother's character, mom encouraging her daughter to marry for wealth despite her possible unhappiness, tired of it.
jealous coworker willing to destroy the company to get rid of competition, tired of it.
Family members being high, mighty and disrespectful because of status, tired of it.

I'm watching Blossom in Adversity and I'm enjoying it so much because it lacks many distressing tropes.

however, I'm gonna give this one a try and see if it gets better.

lol, also stop getting mad when people don't like what you like as much as you do.

enjoying a TV drama is more than just a well produced and written story. emotions and mental clarity play a part in it. if someone is stressed, dramas with vindictive and naggy characters won't appeal to them. They may watch this same series 6 months from now and enjoy it and rate differently because they are in a different mind space.

Also, maybe they just don't like it. Some people like Ranch dressing while others hate it. it's not that there is anything wrong with ranch dressing. the taster just doesn't like it, it's not for them.

stop calling people haters because they don't like what you like. This is a great platform to share our opinions but some people get burned by other commenters because they dislike something in a series or episode.

it's a TV drama, these dramas and ratings don't feed us, or earn us an income, so we shouldn't be so offended by them. Watch, comment and chill... 😂

the last episode was so unnecessary and disappointing. they totally destroyed the snake ladies character

totally not into this...it started off great then got silly from when she fell to get the watch... ridiculous after that
actually ridiculous once she left to see him at the hospital as of he were a commoner that she could just visit

has anyone else besides me been disappointed in the latter episodes. the series started off with a bang and for me it just fizzled from there. it felt like something was lacking. the weak armies and useless people in this series really killed it for me. a series full of bystanders. It was good but lacking...

no, the title turned me off. how was it?

why am I just seeing this. OMG, it was great. hysterical characters but balanced.

my favorite thing about this series is having a strong and smart FL that is not scared to love it be loved. No running from love in this series.

I e been trying to finish this drama. I can not get thru Ep 12. maybe I should just skip to 13
