a leaked script gives a different perspective. but his character prior to this incident doesn't corelate with his erratic behavior. His initial personality was sound, strategic, and calm. Now he is obsessive and erratic. This character is bipolar. When his master was mentioned before he showed no signs of obsession. maybe admiration but not obsession.

her being a princess didn't stop them. him being nuts about his master stopped them from seeing Prince Li. I still don't see how a Princess being there would be a valid reason for them checking on Prince Li. it makes no sense. but that's over so we move on ... 😂
