Hello Zezi!

I've listened to them all. already knew some of them, but really nice discovery for Elgar - Nimrod and mostly Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin - Woodbrook !!! thanks a lot for letting me know thos nice pieces. Maybe time for me to listen to classical music once again.
One of my favorite piece is Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. I like the epic spirit in it.
I also like to listen to Greek music. Not really classical one, in fact, and it's often works that were recreated in modern times according to informations we can find of antic music, but some are really apeasing.
the first i've ever heard, which remain my favorite so far, is Akousate. it took me a while to appreciate it, but now it's really something that helps me to cool down when i'm in bad spirit.
I also like to listening to Gregorian chants because of the choirs. I like when many voices are intertwined...

Hello Zezi!
your last answer put a big smile on my face when I read your recs : Pachelbel's Canon is certainly my favorite piece of classical music. and I adore Beethov's 7th and 9th symphonies (I particularly enjoy the second movment of the 7th s. and the finale of the 9th which inspired me for writing a long time ago - but that's another story).
we seem to have the same taste so i will definetly look for the other ones.

i'll had gentleman's dignity & secret garden on my PTW, i want funny things at the moment.

I haven't heard of interventional radiology (but I don't really have acquaintances in the medical field) but it should be so exciting to take part of exploration of new technics in medical fields. That's great to see you so excited by your choice! wish you the best and hope you'll have a lot of fun doing your job!
residency abroad ! Do you already know where? can you choose?

i need a second post too!
i do like classical music (esp. Beethoven) so any rec will be appreciated. What do you like?

i've heard a lot of good things concerning Gentleman's dignity, i wonder if I should put it on my PTW list? you can also recommend me other k-dramas, sometimes i'm in the mood for a change.
and concerning kekkon dekinai otoko... that's funny, i was in an Abe "mood" some weeks ago and was about to start it. if you recommmend it, then I will soon give it a try. especially if it's a funny drama!

My profile: in fact i wanted to update it a little bit and ended doing nothing at all. when i'm tired i sometimes write stupid things and just don't take the time to erase it. i prefer saving time for dramas and replies at the moment!

it's good you can have some relaxing phase, your job sounds so stressful. do you mind telling me what you decided on your speciality (i'm curious)?

Hello Zezi!
do not worry for the long reply, i like a lot reading others!

concerning Egypt's current situation, as a foreign and far away watcher, it's hard to fully understand what is happening, and what each camp wants. above all, it's frustrating to see that people fought for their rights and to express their revendication, and to see that the "spirit" of the movement has been betrayed. of course, i'm only interpreting what our media can relay on the situation.
in a historical point of view, we know that it can take a very long time and lots of struggles, battles and climb-downs (?) between the first revendications for the people's rights and freedom and it's entire realisation (remaining precarious). we know it well in Europe, but are we really appreciating that in our daily comfortable life? No.
in a human point of view, it's so frustrating to see it going to and fro in each country!

thanks a lot for the news! definetly Shinigami-kun for me. but you make me interested in Long goodbye, and maybe…
thanks for the info. i haven't seen the one you mentioned, but i will give Gin nikan a try, all the more that it could be interesting to watch a historical drama for a change.

definetly Shinigami-kun for me. but you make me interested in Long goodbye, and maybe ore no dandy-ism and smoking gun. i've never heard of them, so once again, thanks a lot.
i like the genre, but i'm amazed by the number of investigation dramas. i wish there could more slice of life. guess it's not trendy at the moment...

hello girl! i'm fine, thanks a lot!
what about you? how are you? are things okay for you (i'm worried whenever they talk about your country in the news, lately that's not always good news).

well at the moment i'm into tokusatsu (childhood nostalgia, i guess). winter j-dramas were pretty good, and i'm looking forward to the next season: as an Arashi fan, two dramas with one of them are very good news. i've got high expectations for Ohno's one!

what about you? i've seen you're more into k-dramas at the moment. what do you like the most? something you would recommend? do you manage to save enough time for dramas?

A very detailed and strong article, as usual i would say, so thanks a lot! i'm currently watching this drama,…
sorry for the double post...
Moreover, i think the drama focuses more on the relationship between the four main girls and the way they deal with their current situation as well as their environment than on child's abuse in welfare homes. I cannot despise those grown ups characters, because, at least in my mind, and i'm probably wrong, they are depicted the way children could see them through their children's eyes. i can't help myself watching this drama as if I were one of those children in this house. don't know if it's the director intention or if i'm misunderstanding something on that point.

i don't find characters nicknames controversial at all. they give bad images of those children, but, well, we all know that children are barely friendly with others. In the drama the girls are using proudly those nicknames as a shield against adult's world. i find the image interesting.

i'm currently watching this drama, and I like it a lot.

I knew about the controversy, though not every detail, but I don't really understand why there is a controversy with this drama. yes, the welfare workers are not shown in a very pleasant way. yes, those children are pictured abused in so many ways. But as you underlined it, it's a fictionnal story and we are all (well, i guess almost all) aware of it being over exagereted. and societies don't make any progress in human rights by denying what is not working inside them. we cannot be stupid enough to believe this drama reflects the entire reality, but we cannot be stupid enough to deny that such abuse can happen.
Moreover, characters developments give us some clues about each one behaviour, letting us "understand" why they became like that.

hello! thanks for the request! I was a little surprised cause you're a kdrama watcher and i'm more a J-drama addict, but well... that's so entertaining to talk with MDLers. i'm also a bit talkative sometimes. I guess you speak french (cause of your name and of Nautiljon).
i would like to say Yoroshiku onegai shimasu in korean, but I don't know how.

thanks for the article§ that's good to have news about upcoming J-dramas! I'm planning to watch most of them…
that would be great, indeed. i'm looking forward to reading it.

thanks for the article§ that's good to have news about upcoming J-dramas! I'm planning to watch most of them (maybe not the special about Mori Mitsuko), or at least give them a try. There are actors I like in most of them so that could be a very good season! I will also add Ohno's Shinigami-kun.

you seem to be so sad about me not watching K-dramas, lol. it's not that I really any prejudice against korean dramas, i enjoyed the few i've seen. it's just that at first I was using J-dramas to learn the language (totally left down this idea, but i'm still watching dramas). Plus there are shorter than korean ones. I like to spend one week on a drama. I can do that with japanese ones, not with korean ones. and two weeks on a drama is too much for me. exceptions are on-going ones though. Korean and Japanese are totally different as you may know. if i want a real rom-com, i guess I would choose korean ones, there are better than Japanese ones (imo). it's just that I don't take the time to watch korean dramas, though some plots seem really interesting.
another reason is that i'm far more facinated by Japan, my favorite country so far.
By the way, i don't mind saying i'm 32 and a half!

Hello and thanks for the friend request.
Nice to meet other french people here. I'm far older than you and i'm amazed to see how you seem to feel at ease with English (i was unable to express myself as well as you do at the same age!)
i'm more into J-dramas, and I like Oguri as well (who doesn't?), even if not my favorite one.
Hope you have fun here. people are really nice (but not in a cheesy way).
feel free to ask anything. i'm a little bit talkative though...
A bientôt!

Hello!
hope you're doing well.
Thanks for your support, I really appreciate it.
btw, i found it easier at the moment to find arashi videos on YT, especially MVs that were delated in the middle of 2012. there are some shows, but not often subbed.
I'm looking forward to watching the end of Shitsuren chocolatier and comment it with you and other MDLer on the forum, that's really funny and heartwarming.
see you soon!

Hello!

Thanks for the request and sorry for the late answer.
Yamashita-san is one of my favorite (though i'm a little bit disappointed by his latest shows). He is awsome in Nobuta, which was also one of my first dramas. you've put Code Blue on hold: don't you like it? I like a lot Yamapi's character in it, though it's really different from him as Akira.
Btw, welcome to MDL. Hope you will have fun here, and you'll met lots of great friends. feel free to ask anything if needed.
yoroshiku onegai shimasu !

Hi guy! how are you?
new drama season in Japan means new choices to make : what to watch, what to let aside... Actually, it's more : what is available on streaming sites ? lol.
Apart complaining at work, and complaining about miss of subs, everything could be okay. Though I find it harder and harder to choose what to watch from completed dramas. My PtW list is growing bigger and bigger, and it's harder and harder to choose between them. all the more that most of older ones are not available on streaming sites. that's really frustrating!
well, it seems i'm complaining again...
What about you? I haven't seen you much on the feeds lately: are you too busy watching dramas? Your currently list is so big! i'm ashamed to say I haven't heard of some of them. Are there good ones you would recommend?
And what did you think of first epi of Lost Days?
sorry if it's too many questions !

Well that's the first time I met someone whose life is like in a drama. Won't you find them boring?
More seriously, your story sounds heartbreaking,I can understand you had hard times. it seems mother in law tend to be difficult people to deal with. (that's maybe the good part of being single...)
Hope you really feel better now. At least you can come here anytime you want. MDLers are really helpful to cheer other up. at least, that's the way things are working for me.
It seems you like Shitsuren Chocolatier too, so i guess i will read you sometimes here and there on the forum. Oh, and i'm always okay to chat anytime.
see you soon!

Yeah, another Arashi fan! yoroshiku onegai shimasu!
how I understand you being mesmerized by Ohno in Maou... I wish I could have been the girl there, especially during that rainy scene, i fell for him at that moment.
it's frustrating to not find any MV (and i don't even ask subbed MVs) on the net anymore. When i discovered them, in the beginning of 2012, that was thanks to the MVs on YT (Believe, Monster...) that I started to like them, as well as watching their dramas. Now it's so hard to find their music and TV shows.
My English is not so great for someone who studied it 9 years at school. MDL is my best teacher though, and my dictionnary my best friend! and you're lucky to not listen to me!
(sorry, not enough remaining characters...)
