Hey, how are you ? I'm fine cause it's finally the week-end after a very tiring week at work...
Yeah, I need to let a message on Sho's "profile"!
Concerning Priceless, it's pretty good. Kimura is excellent as usual, and the drama is addictive too. i'm a fan of Karina, and she is good too. Plus it's all subbed now, so you should definitely give it a try. hope you will enjoy it as much as I do (which makes me think I still have 2 episodes left...). see you soon!
Thanks for the article, i'm about to have dinner right now so it's perfect timing for me! But i'm not sure my salad would be as tasty as all those nice dishes... and it makes me want to have mikado (pocky) for dessert (that would definitely ruined my diet....)
Thanks again, i was wondering how to find informations about japanese food for my next trip to Japan, but you gathered everything in one page!!! that would be pretty handy!!!
BTW, i'm not really fond of dramas about food. is Hungry that good?
Happy Bithday Kohinata-san!!! I'm never disappointed by his performances, one of those less known actors (though I'm sure a lot of drama addicts know his face if not his name) I always enjoy in a drama cast. I really loved him in Hero and Kisarazu Cat's Eyes, I like when he plays soft men. But he could be a very convincing bad guy!!!
well in fact it's just that you have rated some of the dramas I like far below my ratings... i've seen more dramas than you because I'm watching them for more than 2 years... and there are a lot i haven't seen you have already on your completed list.
ah, and Ketibachan is right, second season of Bloody Monday is really good too!
jaa ne!

Thanks for asking and welcome on MDL. I hope you will have fun on this website, and of course you will discover many good dramas. I see you are only watching J-dramas, like me in fact. But we don't seem to like the same stuff. No problem, we could have a lot to discuss about!!
Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!
Has anyone seen this? The summary seems rather interesting so is it good? ^^
I've watched it because of Sakurai san, and I liked it. it was sometimes long, especially in the beginning, but I finally ended liking it. the plot is quite original, and some scenes are really good. first time Sakurai san makes me cry. i adore the relationship between father and son.
episodes are short so you could give it a try, but you should try to see a couple of them before deciding if you want to continue or not.
really entertaining article, thnaks a lot! i think i won't be able to sleep before i have made my own cast...…
I do agree about the fact that Matsuda would probably be the best choice for Snape, but Kimura is just a fancy of mine.
Concerning Abe, he is one of those actors that has a natural authority.

I find some of your choices surprising, but it made me laugh (I like Oguri's beard!!!). and i don't know well some of these actors... I like your choices for Sirius and Tonks and Peeves (I totally agree with your statement abour Ninomiya).
I would have chosen Kimura for Snape (I would like to see him in a role where he is not the good male lead, and Snape is my favorite character!). and maybe Abe Hiroshi for Dumbledore...
Mizushima is back !!! what an unexpected excellent news!
Even if i'm not a fan of Kuroshitsuji, I think i will see that movie, only to have the privilege to drool (don't know if it's the right word, sorry) in front of my screen... i'm pretty sure he will be gorgeous in this role!
Happy new year, thanks for the recs! i've had a few of them on my PTW list, especially Yuuki that so many people are recommending lately. though i'm not in the mood for sad things now...
Aftershock sounds great, but so hard. i'm not sure i could be able to watch it.
and you are right, it's good to think a little bit more of our pets. I sometimes feel guilty for not playing more often with my cat. it gives me a lot of strengh and makes me laugh so much that i feel ashamed of not beeing able to take good care of it.
Yeah, good article, Joe!!!
My list would be a lot different, but your reviews make me want to see some of the shows I've missed, especially Piece and Strawberry night.
I put Hungry on hold after the first episode, and frankly, I don't think I will continue it. I'm still unable to decide if I will watch Rich Man Poor Woman, i'm not attracted by the plot, and I don't like Aibu.
Kagi no kakatta Heya is my ichiban, and your right, Ohno-san is astonishing in it. and the OST...
I really enjoyed Ataru and Legal High too. Priceless will be one of my favorites (currently watching it). Akumu-chan is far better than the plot and the first episode could tell. And Ending Planner was definitely one of the best of the year imo (Yamapi!!!)

i'm a little bit late, but : HAPPY NEW YEAR. hope you still have a lot of fun watching dramas!!!
Very interesting article, thanks a lot. I like your idea to observe our drama world and addiction from a cultural and social point of view. As many MDLers previously said, it shows that watching drama is not only a passive activity, but leads every one of us to reflect on the world (well, at least that part of the world). It's a good way to make anyone understand other people by understanding their culture and wanting to know more about it.
Not sure to be clear, maybe a little too much on the optimisic mode in believing that everybody has this kind of concerns(but it's the beginning of a new year after all).
I hope we can read more articles with that kind of topic.
and by the way, Happy new year to all MDL fellows!
