You made very valid points. The long distance part was good for the whole story but unfortunately, their chemistry suffered. My biggest disappointment was that the filmmakers mostly made the film into a drama rather than have it remain a rom-com. They should have a made a very long movie (good for streaming only - LOL) like the Semantic Error - the Movie - which I liked more than the series even though it was slightly over 3 hours long. Like most films, excluding big period pieces or action or fantasy films, the running time is usually between 90 min to 120 min. It would be a record if rom-com last 3 hours. In that way, all the supporting characters would have more than 3 lines .
I think this might be a new trend where different countries remake hit BL series. Another example would be the Korean version of Why R U?
For the TayNew version of Cherry Magic, I am pretty sure that there will be a gay marriage by the end of the series considering there is a big push by the Thai entertainment industry to petition for the Thai government to pass a gay marriage law.
