For a drama which started out so promisingly, this was utterly disappointing.**Major spoilers ahead**People don't…
On a side note, both male leads were lovely. Honestly, Jojo is the problem. Her development even after 4 years was negative and why she chose to go against her own instincts and try so hard to make herself believe she was into a guy she clearly had no feelings for (while still being hung up on her ex) is beyond me.

For a drama which started out so promisingly, this was utterly disappointing.

**Major spoilers ahead**

People don't prefer Sun-oh as the main lead because of Song Kang, they prefer him because he's objectively a better match for Jojo. They bonded on such a deep level in the short time they were together, and their intimacy was insanely good. Yeah, Hye Yeong was always respectful, considerate, mature (minus the part where he was basically stalking Jojo before she even knew his name), etc... but are we just collectively going to ignore the fact that Jojo had zero chemistry with him and up until very late in the series still seemed to be into Sun-oh?

I suppose the stunt they pulled in the last episode with the records was supposed to convince us Hye Yeong really was the one she liked, but to me it just seemed like an afterthought added simply to justify the weird turn of events. They tried so hard to make viewers buy the "I suddenly realised you're the one I truly like" narrative but the whole time Jojo seemed like she was forcing herself to like Hye Yong as if that was the "right" thing to do, and in reality if you need to try so hard to like someone then maybe you don't like them all that much.

Why she decided to avoid Sun-oh like the plague was also explained so poorly that the entire second season was borderline unwatchable. Under different circumstances I would be thrilled at the fact that the second lead turned into the main love interest, but the dynamic between Jojo and Hye Yeong was just laughably unconvincing. And let's not even get started on all the missed opportunities for actually interesting subplots, like the anti love alarm group, the killer (could've expanded way more on this), why the heck Dong-gu's brother was impersonating him, and Sun-oh's family, to name a few.
