This comment is very strange, sorry.I started Ashes of love last week after Love and Redemption and your comment…
Oh btw, It might not be the greatest in the earlier eps. i also thought of dropping it but half way through, the drama is getting better and better for me. So i guess the only way to find out is to continue it a few more eps. If you wanna drop it do so :)

I know many people loveeee Love and redemption but i’m sorry i’m just not one of them. I find this storyline…
Let’s close up the comments here i feel like everyone voice out enough for each drama. Whether you will like it or not i’ll still repeat the same word it’s depend on which storyline fit your tastes better. Whether you find L&R or AOL more interesting. It’s up to you to decide which one is the winner for you. And tbh I don’t wanna compare AOL with L&R but i just saw a few comments comparing it. So i’m just voicing out my perspective on each drama as well.
To make it clear once again, I’m not saying L&R is bad. But it’s not my favorite. I just find AOL make much more sense to me.
•This is for other people who are considering watching L&R:
If somehow someway any of you seeing this discussion and considering watching L&R do so. It’s your right to decide whether to watch it or not. Don’t let our opinion(or at least my opinion) sway your thought. If you wanna watch it, go for it. I’m not saying AOL is the winner for everyone, it’s for you to decide which one are your go to.
P.s i’ll not reply any comments anymore as i think i voiced out my opinion enough here. And I respect everyone perspective whether it’s positive or negative word toward each drama.
Thanks everyone.

I love both drama almost equally. But I prefer L&R than AoL because of Sifeng. I adore his character alot. He…
Actually i do understand your point and i totally agree with some part here when you mentioned the flaws you find in each drama. And for AOL, it does have 60eps and 63eps depend on which site you watch it.

I dropped AoL two times, I dislike female lead (the worst FL ever, really dumb, who was not able to defend herself…
I do understand your perspective and i accept that. Let’s be real here there will always flaws in each drama no matter how good it is from everyone perspective. So if you find L&R more reasonable and fit your taste, support it. As I mentioned before i love their acting and storyline but the female character is one of the thing i don’t like. That’s why i voiced out my opinion here. I’m in the same line as you when we’re talking abt respecting other opinion. I’ll also respect your opinion as well.

I don’t say the FL in ashes of love is super smart or intelligent. I’m talking abt how they solve the problems overall. Love and redemption FL is more frustrating than ever for me. If you do like the FL than continue to do so. She make mistakes and just go and apologize and we’re done. Move on. And ML almost died everytime she made a mistake. Lmao I’m frustrating the whole time watching love and redemption. And i’m bringing Ashes of love up here because as I mentioned “SOME PEOPLE COMPARE IT” they voiced out their own opinion in the comments section so i also voiced out my own as well. If Love and redemption is your cup of tea, continue loving it. As i said again and again”EVERYONE HAVE THEIR OWN CUP OF TEA”. And we all different so our opinion will be different as well.

As i mentioned before. Everyone have their own cup of tea if you like it watch and support it. I’m here to express my opinion even if many people love watching love and redemption i’ll still say what i like and don’t like abt it. I’m sure we will have different opinions abt it. And of course I’ll respect that :)

I know many people loveeee Love and redemption but i’m sorry i’m just not one of them. I find this storyline interesting but it’s also pretty frustrating from one ep to another. Female lead get on my nerve most of the time and how they solve the problem is just.... They’re like “let’s just apologize and forgive then move on no matter what punishment you had received even when you know nth”. Since some people bring up “Ashes of love/Heavy sweetness, ash like frost” and compare it to “Love and redemption” i’m gonna be honest with this comparison. I truly and honestly think “Ashes of love” is soo much better. Tbh the storyline is quite similar on how both female lead is innocent and have no idea what love is(because they suffered from some punishment/so call protection). And both male lead have to suffer from female lead childish action(side effects of the punishment/protection FL have). In “Ashes of love” from the plot, each character development and how they solve and face the problems is just much more reasonable and make sense. They just don’t forgive and move on with every problem.
They also show why each character did what they did and the reason behind it. It’s also show reasonable punishment for what each character did wrong. For “Love and redemption” It’s just like the whole drama focused on male lead. Like everything that went wrong is male lead action. And female lead just believe almost everything other people said when they accused him of doing sth bad. Then the truth come out and she asked for his forgiveness and he forgive her most of the time (and the other time he doesn’t forgive her it’s because he’s doing it for her sake like she might be in danger or he might die). Although they solve the problem reasonably(sometimes), the male lead was almost die everytime -.- i feel like this drama is not fair when it come to how each problem solved. The male lead is/was the most mature man in the drama and he’s suffered too much. I honestly love ML the most in “Love and redemption”. Don’t get me wrong i did complete the whole series. But it’s just not my cup of tea compare to Ashes of love.
All in all not a big fan of this series. I do appreciate the CGI, acting and storyline tho.
P.s if you think my review is not fair, please give “Ashes of love” a try and complete the whole series first. Because the plot, chemistry of each couple, CGI, storyline is just really great.Ashes of love also released earlier than Love and redemption. So if you wanna give it a go after love and redemption why not. The whole series is completed. You can just compare and see which one is your cup of tea afterwards. One more thing since this is a review, that’s mean it based on my personal opinion. If you still love “Love and redemption” please continue to do so because everyone have their own cup of tea.

If you think this drama have a hole you don’t understand, rewatch it?. I love this drama soo much and i keep rewatch it every year since it’s released. Whenever I rewatch it i realize I didn’t pay much attention that’s why i missed out on so many things and after each ep end you just gonna put the pieces together and everything just makes sense. When I first watched it I hardly catch up too but the storyline is just too good so I decided to rewatch it just to make myself realize how dumb and careless i was?. Highly recommend it’s one of my all time favorite drama
