We'll have to wait for more info from future episodes but my take is that SJ who called Ae Ri after she got released was Oct Seo Jin from one month into the future.Maybe in the new timeline,SJ remembered his og timeline with Ae Ri way too late and by the time the car crash happened did he is given a chance to call Ae Ri again from one month into the past. Which is why judging from the preview of ep 9,Ae Ri still attempting to get closer to Seo Jin will hopefully make his memory surge much faster than it's supposed to be

The male and female lead in this drama didn't physically travel through time,rather they use objects to do that.If you're familiar with the kdrama Signal then you'll notice they use the similar premise.While the leads in Signal travel through an old walkie-talkie, the leads here use smartphone to time travel. As for the romance,right now it's only been for the second leads.We'll see if it's for the first leads too later

2 weeks ago,I would have disagreed with you but now after seeing how we are nowhere near the end yet on episode 14 I have to agree with you on this drama being average or at worst(if they don't manage to solve at least the most glaring plotholes even though I think it'd be impossible) a complete trash.Too many stupid decisions I can't tolerate anymore,like the fact that they haven't addressed that first scene in episode 1.Like what's the point of showing that tension bulding scene in the beginning of this drama if you're just going to replay the same scene again at possibly the ending?That's a fucking cop out.And it doesn't stop there,we have 2 episodes left yet we still don't know who really crashed the plane and how the hero is going to complete his mission.Whether he'll succeed or fail in completing it *sigh* but I guess I brought this upon myself by being interested in this drama in the first place????
