According to @ZGDX_Smiling findings: Okay, so from what I've read regarding the statements from both the sides,…
I feel like us minding our own business and not judging doesn’t mean waiting til all of the facts come out (btw most of them are out—check Dispatch for full details), rather it should mean that we are able to see that this situation is not ours to place our opinions on at all. Even if these accusations had all been true (they aren’t), then we should be capable of seeing that her pain is not our problem… nor is it his problem, as you will see if you read further. If someone emotionally injures another person in their life, who are we to comment? Would we want people forcing their opinions on our own morality when we make tough decisions in our own lives or when our relationships fall apart? Nope. Didn’t think so.
This is what we hate the most about K-drama, a weak female lead that easily falls for the villain's stupid trap.…
LOL what kdramas are you watching? strong female characters are all over the place, but women men and everyone inbetween are generally very weak… everyone in this situation seems pretty weak to me, especially the ones who think that cancelling other weak people is the way to go…
I just found out about this. Poor woman, I wish the best for her, I can't imagine how traumatic something like…
Calling what he did an “injustice” implies that justice would have been served if he wanted her to keep the fetus… does every dude out there have to WANT to keep the unplanned fetuses they produce? LOL what century are we living in again??
Seems like you're filled with a lot of hate yourself. It takes two people to make a baby and both people should…
The truth is kind of irrelevant… what a lot of people seem to be saying here is that his life, his livelihood, future, and happiness should be taken away as payment for this mistake. Are you saying that these two misdeeds are equal? Are you saying that she did nothing wrong in ruining another person? If this woman’s life is ruined because she had a shitty boyfriend who put his job before his relationship with her, then she sure is one sad person… and to think she had nothing more productive to do with herself than destroy someone she used to love?
I started to rewatch Start-Up the other day and then YouTube decided to slap me in the face with another insane cancel-story… I read everything I could about it and I’ve come to this conclusion:
When I read what he had done, I felt nothing but sympathy for him and this woman… they were put in a shitty position due to their country’s culture. If actors were allowed to have lives and children outside of wedlock, then maybe things would have been different for them… who are we to say what kinds of pressures influenced both sides of this story? They are adults who made an adult decision… and yet her anger and bitterness turned this into a full-blown tragedy and I’m pretty sure she regrets it and he regrets how he made her feel and on and on…
So WHY is it that people can’t separate themselves from these celebrities? Why do we have to treat someone who was scared and desperate, who asked NOT forced his girlfriend to get an abortion, as if they were some kind of serial abuser?? He’s a human being for Christ’s sake… I’m so sad seeing these people have their lives destroyed, meanwhile ACTUAL criminals and abusers are out there every day harming others… can’t we just get a little perspective here??=\
... He was popular for a single drama. It would be like saying Taylor Lautner was the biggest thing in Hollywood…
I dunno… he’s been in at least four dramas that I’ve watched and he’s one of my favorite actors… who are you to say that it’s Business 101 to destroy a person’s career for pressuring their girlfriend to get an abortion? Wtf? Are these canceled celebrities not people too? Sure, cancel a dude for physical abuse and cancel him if he has a rage problem and no one can work with him… do you really mean to tell me that it’s ok to destroy a person’s life because they were selfish in that way and didn’t want their career to end? Seems like a very human thing to me, but maybe I’m just more human than some of these hateful and judgmental people think that cancelling a person’s life is just business.
According to @ZGDX_Smiling findings: Okay, so from what I've read regarding the statements from both the sides,…
An apology won’t cut it? I’m sorry but what exactly would you expect from him?? The man has had his career destroyed because he wanted his girlfriend to get an abortion… where is the crime here? And where is the humanity that people think they can just ruin a person this way when it’s none of their business, no one was physically harmed, and she even said she didn’t want his career to end over this … people need to get a life.
This is one of the most sensible comments I have seen here. It seems many foreigners are commenting on this looking…
This is false. One party CAN decide to have the child… do you have ANY idea how many children out there are raised by one parent?? If she had wanted it that badly and if he was as shitty of a boyfriend as he sounds like he was, then why would she want to force him into settling down with her and forgetting about his future?? That would only create a very toxic and bitter environment for a child to grow up in.

Is it his fault that those taboos exist in his country? Wtf? I understand that she felt she couldn’t raise a child alone, but that doesn’t mean he has to approve of the pregnancy. She made the choice to get the abortion, and even if he pressured her that’s not the same thing as force and it certainly shouldn’t be enough to destroy his life. He was thinking about his own future, sure you could call him selfish, but COME ON… mind your own business?!!!!
It seem's that in Korea and China the women like to came to internet exposed they "love" life to revenge men when…
I’m still reeling over the Lucas situation… China has him by the balls and his life is basically ruined because he made some irresponsible dating choices, not because he physically or emotionally abused anyone—but because he was acting like a 21 year old moron, his entire life has to be cancelled and the members of WayV also have to suffer? It’s ABSURD, and every day I find out about a new horrific cancel-story… Kim Seon-ho is one of my favorite actors, sure, but more than that he’s a HUMAN BEING who deserves to be treated as such… god I am so frikkin sad right now…
Looking forward to apologies from each and every person who vilified Seon ho here in comments . Like why should…
I have no more faith in people to use their brains along with their empathy when considering these situations… why can’t people consider another person’s life when they do these things? It makes me so sad that cancel culture in Korea has turned into such a toxic and irrational thing… I’m a full-blown feminist, and as one, I believe we should listen to and help the women who have been hurt… BUT that doesn’t give them the right to destroy someone’s life over something like this. The abortion was her choice, her body—no one “forced” her to do anything… the terminology being thrown around in these article titles isn’t helping anything=[ I hope he’s doing ok since I just heard he was hospitalized….
