I haven't seen Monster yet, but I have seen it recommended a few times. I tend to stick to shorter shows first because I have a short attention span, but I am sure I will get around to it eventually.

MARS is great - I haven't read the Manga, but I have heard from many people that the adaptation was done well. I was really attached to the lead girl (quiet/haunted MCs being my favorite) and the lead guy does a great job. It's got a beautiful and simple love story (no heavy triangle/polygons) and I prefer that. It focuses on growing stronger together instead of pushing each other away until the last episode and it's a nice change of pace from the typical romance drama (esp. kdramas where holding hands is essentially a marriage contract.)

I agree with most of what you said and I really liked KJ & MJ together. I think this drama, though, was one of many that the triangle/polygon really got in the way of my enjoyment. I was uncomfortable seeing him lead YJ on, but running into the arms of MJ (even if it was just emotionally.) I generally hate when characters aren't true to their feelings, I usually find it tedious - in this case it was really obvious how both of them felt, but KJ had the hardest time admitting it.

I would have been happier had they tidied up his relationship with YJ sooner, but unfortunately that was a large part of the conflict and I felt it dragged too much. I could have looked past it, but I also felt both MJ and KJ kept pushing each other away even after YJ was out of the picture. I also didn't like the second male. If I could strip out just the MJ & KJ scenes from Lovers, I would absolutely love it.

No, I absolutely loved Pride! The only thing that kept me from rating it a perfect 10 was the time skip / lead girl going back to the asshole that ignored her for years. I thought Kimura Takuya was exceptional and I have really been meaning to watch more dramas with him as the lead.

Reading that you recommended Buzzer Beat along with Pride makes me curious. It's been several years since I watched it - it was the second Asian drama I watched and I can't remember what I didn't like about it, but I didn't get "addicted" to Asian dramas until I watched the Snow Queen after Buzzer Beat.

Maybe I need to rewatch it? The only dramas I have rewatched are Queen in-Hyun's Man and Orange Days. My opinion of Queen in-Hyun's Man went down, but my opinion on Orange Days somehow went up even more the second time.

I'm fairly picky about what kind of drama I want to start since I hate being disappointed, but I try to stay as open minded as I can because I think my taste is constantly evolving. The only things I have found that I really have trouble watching are over-the-top taiwanese / japanese comedies and korean romcoms (or most korean idol dramas since I am not a 14 year old girl.)

As far as a single decision being hard to overlook, I have been there with you several times. When one of the main characters cheats on someone is generally where I cross the line and it's probably the only line I really have in romance dramas. I can finish a drama where the main character cheats on the other, but I will always drop the rating a point or two because it irritates me so much.

I meant to ask - that's a dango in your display, right? I have been in love with Clannad for a while (mainly After Story.)

Reading through some of these comments, I feel like I am the only one that really liked Han Ga In as Yeon Woo and I am usually fairly picky when it comes to the lead girl.

Interesting that you commented on my page, my sister's name is Wynne so I am fond of your username!

To answer your question, I prefer deep and meaningful. I like the emotional side more than the physical side. Since we share a mutual favorite in Orange Days - take Sae and Kai's relationship. They are easily my favorite couple. Kai breaks down her walls, she helps him discover himself. It's so hard to watch it and not feel how in love they are - they effectively save each other. I like love stories where you believe that those two people would always be drawn to each other.

Alone in Love definitely seems like something I would enjoy, thanks for the suggestion.

This is the name I use for most other sites. I decided to change it because I made a new myanimelist and figured I should use the same name for both. The picture is me watching dramas under the covers and it's perfect for this site because it makes me laugh

As far as Lovers goes, I am really biased. I had too much trouble looking past the fact that Kang Jae was cheating through a portion of their relationship. He has this irresistible attraction to someone and what does he do? He proposes to his current girlfriend. I felt like Mi Joo was sort of mistreated at the beginning because Kang Jae was so back and forth - and then the stupid time skip at the end.. It's one of those things where I really loved several parts of it (wonderful chemistry and passion) but I always keep a running tally and drop the rating when something irritates me

You should be watching You Who Came From the Stars!

We also need to discuss Lovers at some point. I finished it over a month and a half ago, but I have been MIA from the site / dramas for about that time. Hope you are doing well!

I miss the funny epilogues. :/
I'd prefer the heartwrenching / touching epilogues if I didn't have to wait for an entire week for new episodes

Song Yi was a boss during the interview...I'm surprised Min Joon doesn't know what a piece of work Se Me is, but…
I'm not used to Yoo In Na playing a bitchy role

I don't see this drama having an unhappy ending, but I would expect some kind of timeskip or something near the end. I think it's most likely that they make Min Joon turn human somehow. They will be together - most romance dramas with ratings like this will have a happy ending.

I didn't like the Rooftop Prince ending very much, but I don't see YWCFTS having a similar ending because it isn't dealing with time travel. I am really not worried about it, but I will be upset if I am wrong.

I haven't made up my mind on anything to watch yet. I might start or finish something I have on hold by tonight or at least the next couple of days. Wait until you get caught up on YWCFTS, it only gets better.

OMG!!! Is this legit? Will the drama seriously have 21 episodes now????
I will gladly take some flashbacks or even some Song Yi / Min Joon fluff (date episode!) I'm just waiting for the inevitable memory loss, though, you apparently can't have a drama without it

Yes. Let's hope the extension isn't filler that makes it drag like The Master's Sun

Title My Love from the Star Spoiler
I really love this drama. I really want to like Hwi Kyung, but why does every kdrama need to make the second male…
"Please let me use this wish I have been saving since we were 15 to keep you from telling me you don't want to be with me."

Unrequited love hurts, no question, but continuing to force your feelings on someone you supposedly care about is awful. It's especially bad because Song Yi obviously values his friendship and has stated how she feels numerous times - don't act like you're content being a friend if you're only going to use it as a platform to try and force someone to love you.

I will never understand the logic behind being okay with her settling for you as a second or third choice. If she doesn't love you after 15 years she never will.

First time that I think the leading actress totally made this drama worth it. Sure there are a lot of people involved…
She's too adorable I can barely handle it

I really love this drama. I really want to like Hwi Kyung, but why does every kdrama need to make the second male so weak? Holding on to a girl for 15 years that isn't into you isn't sweet, it's pathetic. Always has to be some guy that should have realistically moved on years ago

Yes, it's from Nagareboshi. It's a fairly simple, very sweet story. I would recommend it highly. I change my profile around some / change my picture semi-frequently because I am restless. I just changed my profile picture to myself watching dramas under the covers on my kindle.

I really, really love You Who Came From the Stars. I obviously like Kim Soo Hyun a lot, but Jun Ji Hyun has stolen my heart. I am currently waiting for Viki to upload the full subtitles so I can watch episode 16, and I need to make a decision as to what I should start next since I finished Rich Man, Poor Woman before bed last night.
